The final battle

The Final Battle

Bishop W.D. Roscoe

The Kingdoms of Darkness and the kingdom of Light are the main players throughout Biblical history. Darkness and Light both are in search of a human heart that thinks as identical to their own way of thinking. We think of these kingdoms fighting with one another, as nations against nations. Just like nations fighting against nations, the one with the best  strategical advantage usually wins the war.  Satan knows that humans react to their world based on their spiritual development.

praying_bodyThe kingdom of light bear a resemblance to God,  and the kingdom of darkness reacts just like the Devil. This kind of warfare goes on in the spirit realm, day and night. Warriors of both kingdoms, pursuing the human mind as the prize of war.

Once, the teachings surrounding the awe of God and His Divine sovereignty was the most essential part of the teachings for the Church. The God of the Jews was the only God who offered a Covenant of love, and protection. However, there were conditions and warnings to the covenant. mind of ChristThe Gospel of Christ likewise contains warnings [commandments] designed to protect believers from Satan’s brianwashing techniques. Satan sends demons spirits from the unseen world, teaching lies, which will compel men into ungodly conclusions, even of the word of God.

Stan’s secret weapon is the perversion of the definition of the word “love.” Play on words is an old tactic of the Devil. So, the Devil just slightly misuses the word for “love.” Unfortunately, this word for “love” is not the Greek word “agape,” meaning unconditional love.  Unlike “agape,”philia”  which is the Greek word for brotherly love, a love that changes with the situations and circumstances.

Perhaps, Satan wants to inspire Christian believers to believe that love is more important than truth, nonetheless God’s form of love will ever conflict with the purpose of the Holy Scriptures. In today’s teaching, it is no longer necessary to obey the teachings of Christ, it seems as though the teachings of Christ are replaced with the doctrine of tolerance. And tolerance has digressed to just leaving the captives under Satan’s control.

From the Garden to current times, Satan uses the misunderstanding of words to defeat God’s precious children.

However, “love” does not mean to strip the Bible of its Divine purpose. After all, Jesus came and exposed the hypocrisy of the religious groups, and gave his followers a clear example of how to walk faithfully before God. Even though Jesus loves mankind, he was not shy about speaking truth into their lives, even when he seemed usually passionate at times.

In the Greek language, “love” takes on three different meanings. Agape, God kind of love. Then there is the Greek word philia”   which is a sensation of human emotions, much like when a person have fillings for someone who has done something nice for them, just like Philadelphia a city of Brotherly love. Its easy to love someone who has done an act of kindness.

The next type of “love” is the Greek word “Eros,” this is the same as the English word for “lust.” Every believer knows that erotic thoughts will get themselves into spiritual trouble quickly.  In the spirit realm, demons are controlling the minds of unsuspecting church goers with lustful thoughts. This kind of Christian loves sexual stimulation, a behavior that exhibit “lust,” same as the Greek word “Eros.”

Unlike English, ancient Greeks had four words to describe the range of meanings love. The first word is eros, from which we get the English word eroticEros was the word often used to express sexual love or the feelings of arousal that are shared between people who are physically attracted to one another. The word was also used as the name of the Greek god of love, Eros (the Romans called him “Cupid”). By New Testament times, this word had become so debased by the culture that it is not used even once in the entire New Testament. http://www.gotquestions.org/eros-love.html

The Greek word agape often translated as “love” in the New Testament. How is “agape love” different from other types of love? The essence of agape love is self-sacrifice. Unlike our English word “love,” agape is not used in the Bible to refer to romantic or sexual love. Nor does it refer to close friendship or brotherly love, for which the Greek word philia is used. http://www.gotquestions.org/agape-love.html

Because the Church exhibit tendencies of adjusting to status quo, the urgency for the Church to arm itself for spiritual warfare is removed from today’s pulpits. Because of the deceitfulness of Satan and his ability to lie about the meanings of words, he tricked Adam and Eve into a technical conversation about what God meant about “to keep the Garden.”                                                                                                                                   KJV  Genesis 2:15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. (Gen 2:15 KJV)

08104 שָׁמַר shamar {shaw-mar’} (keep) “to keep” a military command

Meaning:  1) to keep, guard, observe, give heed 1a) (Qal) 1a1) to keep, have charge of 1a2) to keep, guard, keep watch and ward, protect, save life

Psychologist say, we are to show love and tolerance when a family member announces homosexual desires. The proper response is to listen and show concern while the family member is sharing personal secrets. Equally important, this is a critical time for an effective response, not a time for arguing or preaching.

Just like Jesus, a gentle truth is more effective than hurling accusations.  A calm, Biblical answer will subdue an angry spirit, increasing the opportunity for the Spirit of God to move in that family member’s life.    Most importantly, we are to leave that person with the lasting image of the mission of the Church, displaying the real love of God and rescuing the captives.  Keeping it real is the clich’e that comes to mind when I think about the why Jesus communicates with mankind. Jesus is compassionate with the broken, also quick to say what is needed after we go astray.

Jesus was not shy about turning over tables with one hand, while using a whip in the other hand, when the religious officials misused the Temple.  At the same time, Christ would go to the ends of the earth to find the lost and the hurting.

Proverbs 14:25 A truthful witness saves lives, but a false witness is a traitor.

army of the lordAfter all, we are warriors in the army of the Lord, ready to engage the darkness to gain the hearts of man.  Jesus came to conquer darkness not to appease it, and deliver the souls of man from the influence of Satan’s lie.

3 Put on your sword, O mighty warrior! You are so glorious, so majestic!

4 In your majesty, ride out to victory, defending truth, humility, and justice. Go forth to perform awe-inspiring deeds!

5 Your arrows are sharp, piercing your enemies’ hearts. The nations fall beneath your feet.

6 Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice. (Psa 45:3-6 NLT)

22 And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him.

23 And this is his commandment: We must believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he commanded us.

24 Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us.(1Jo 3:22-24 NLT)

Some Christians say, they love God because He first loved them or He has been good to them. Is this not the same as philia?”  This is way I love the Lord, He is so  majestic, sovereign and Holy, yet He takes out the time to correct my path. He has the right to leave me behind, but he keeps returning for me, bringing me alongside of His Holiness.

Hebrews 7:26 He is the kind of high priest we need because he is holy and blameless, unstained by sin. He has been set apart from sinners and has been given the highest place of honor in heaven. (Heb 7:26 NLT)

Hebrews 5:9 In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him.
