God’s breath

God’s breath

Adonai, God of the Jews, created the world, time, and the souls of
man as one of His highest endeavors. The creative process of making the world involved God speaking Hebrew words, while the Holy Spirit (Ruach Elohim) covered the Earth, according to Genesis 1:2.

NLT  Genesis 1:2 The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. (Gen 1:2 NLT)

An interesting fact about theShin - Hebrew character in aqua
formation of the Heavens and the Earth is that the Hebrew words carried Divine energies of their own. For instance, when Aaron formed the shape of the Hebrew letter “shin” for Shaddai, the children of God could feel the power from the shin symbol. In fact, the people of God looked away from the priest’s hand because of the reverence they held for that symbol.

Ruach2  Okay, we said all of that just to explain what this means to be a surrendered believer in Christ’s Body. When the Holy Spirit came in the book of Acts, there was an audible sound from Heaven.  Was God blowing His breath on those believers who were worshipping in the Upper Room?  The breath in Genesis 1:2  created a human being out of dust and was the same breath that created the new man in the Messiah.creation-adam1

God’s single breath was powerful enough that every person that is
alive today shares that same pant from God’s mouth.  Even Job was aware of the power that is present when God breathes. Job said that the breath of the Almighty gives him life. Oh my God, what power!

God’s breath

NLT  Job 33:4 For the Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life (Job 33:4 NLT)

NLT  1 Samuel 10:10 When Saul and his servant arrived at Gibeah, they saw a group of prophets coming toward them. Then the Spirit of God came powerfully upon Saul, and he, too, began to prophesy.

The Lord is speaking life to today’s believers for them to realize the great work He has done in them. If the church could only know the truth – they are not fragile, empty vessels, which is what Satan wants us to believe.  We carry the powerful and holy nature of God within these earthen vessels.  Our life source and strength comes right from the mouth God!

NLT  Colossians 3:10 Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. (Col 3:10 NLT)

iNLT  Ephesians 2:15 He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new people from the two groups. (Eph 2:15 NLT)

NLT  Ephesians 4:24 Put on your new nature, created to be like God– truly righteous and holy. (Eph 4:24 NLT)

NLT  Colossians 2:12 For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. (Col 2:12 NLT)
