Ephesians 2:4-5
(KJV)
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, by (grace ye are saved;).

The Word “Grace,” Alone, Saves No One

Editor: Val Gunter

Over the years, words change according to how we use them, and the meaning of words may change because of a general assumption of a particular audience, especially if the audience favors the use of the word in question.

When Satan Interferes

Here we see the Prince of darkness using the power of the air (the spirit realm) against all those who are open to a Gospel that allowed sinners to continue to sin after God raised us up with the Messiah, Yeshua, and seated us with Him in heavenly places. We find this to be true because, in the same Book of Ephesians where we learn about ADONAI’s Amazing Grace, we found this passage.

Something changed in the Pulpit from the generosity of The Almighty, for the world to be saved, into a magic Grace Card that gets disobedient sinners into Heaven against the teachings of GOD.

Ephesians 5:3-9
(NLT)
3 Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. 4 Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God. 5 You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.
6 Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him. 7 Don’t participate in the things these people do. 8 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! 9 For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.

Ephesians 2:4-7
(Complete Jewish Bible 2016)
4  But God is so rich in mercy and loves us with such intense love 5  that, even when we were dead because of our acts of disobedience, he brought us to life along with the Messiah — it is by grace that you have been delivered. 6  That is, God raised us up with the Messiah Yeshua and seated us with him in heaven, 7  in order to exhibit in the ages to come how infinitely rich is his grace, how great is his kindness toward us who are united with the Messiah Yeshua.

Understanding How Christians Use the Preposition “by,” as in “by grace” in Ephesians 2:4, is critical for avoiding doctrinal error.

The word “by” can appear as an Adverb, Interjection, Noun, or Preposition. We are looking at the prepositional use because it brings something close to us, which is God’s Grace.

In the New Living Bible, their translators focused on what the preposition “by” was bringing to us. The NLT says (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) Hallelujah!

ADONAI, GOD of Israel, was not building a doctrine on “grace,” as some are pushing today; HE is speaking to the generation to come, of HIS Grace, Generosity, and Mercies at the time He authored Salvation.

We were HIS creation crafted together as HE designed Salvation, by delivering HIS Son from death and making a new creation, then giving us the same spirit as eternal beings. Our Heavenly Father redeemed His Son from the penalties of sin; while He had no sin, He was justified because of His innocence. Whereby the redeemer took the authority over all the slain victims and the Heavenly Father redistributed to HIS new sons and daughters.

Ephesians 2:14-18
(NLT)
14 For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. 15 He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new people from the two groups. 16 Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death.
17 He brought this Good News of peace to you Gentiles who were far away from him, and peace to the Jews who were near. 18 Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.

Grace as a Noun

The noun “Grace” (Greek mythology) was one of three sisters who were the givers of beauty and charm, a favorite subject for sculptors. They welcomed the Greek goddess’s blessing.

In the Occult

In this form, “Grace” refers to the name of a Greek Demi-god who has the power to give beauty and charm, which is associated with line art and tattoos of Wicca worship.

One of the three females accepts a tattoo of an image of three-parts, indicating their part of a witch coven.

As a Proper Noun A female given name.

Etymology: From the noun “grace,” first used by Puritans in the 16th century, Roman Catholics’ use may refer to Our Lady of Graces, cognate with Italian Grazia.

In the church world, “saved by grace” refers to the Book of Ephesians 2:4, the excellent plan of ADONAI, the God of Israel’s plan of redemption for Jews and Gentiles. It was our Heavenly father, ADONAI, who authors a more relevant Salvation, in the fact that Yeshua, (Jesus of Nazareth) was brought back from the dead in the newness of life. This is important because the Newness of Life is a life in the union, with alliance, coalition, partnership, and collaboration with the Holy Spirit.
