2 Peter 2:19-21
(The Living Bible)

19  “You aren’t saved by being good,” they say, “so you might as well be bad. Do what you like; be free.”
But these very teachers who offer this “freedom” from law are themselves slaves to sin and destruction. For a man is a slave to whatever controls him. 20  And when a person has escaped from the wicked ways of the world by learning about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and then gets tangled up with sin and becomes its slave again, he is worse off than he was before. 21
It would be better if he had never known about Christ at all than to earn of him and them afterwards turn his back on the hoy commandments that were given to him.

Some people heard the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire.

Deuteronomy 4:32-37
(The Living Bible)
32  “In all history, going back to the time when God created man upon the earth, search from one end of the heavens to the other to see if you can find anything like this: 33  An entire nation heard the voice of God speaking to it from fire, as you did, and lived! 34  Where else will you ever find another example of God’s removing a nation from its slavery by sending terrible plagues, mighty miracles, war, and terror?

35 He did these things so you would realize that Jehovah is God, and that there is no one else like him. 36 He let you hear his voice instructing you from heaven, and he let you see his great pillar of fire upon the earth; you even heard his words from the center of the fire. 37 “It was because he loved your ancestors and chose to bless their descendants that he personally brought you out from Egypt with a great display of power.

THE VOICE FROM THE LIGHT

Editor: Val Gunter

The unredeemed has an insatiable appetite or desire for worldly things, especially sex. Powerful demon spirits speak lies from the darkness to say, “it’s covered under the blood,” which is a toxic cliche’. Only people with one foot in the church and their mind stuck in the darkness would accept this type of reasoning as the Holy Unadulterated Word of GOD.

2 Peter 2:21-22
(TLB)

21  It would be better if he had never known about Christ at all than to learn of him and then afterwards turn his back on the holy commandments that were given to him. 22  There is an old saying that “A dog comes back to what he has vomited, and a pig is washed only to come back and wallow in the mud again.” That is the way it is with those who turn again to their sin.

However, Yeshua is merciful and desires to rescue the weak. For this reason, we will build up those who can hear encouragement to return to the light. Perhaps there is a misunderstanding of the meaning of ADONAI’S extremely influential Grace, where Bible Grace is an endowment into understanding Yeshua’s call for our lives.

Revelation 22:21
(TLB)
Romans 14

14:1 Don’t criticize him . . . about what is right and wrong, literally, “Receive him that is weak in faith, not for decisions of scruples.” Perhaps the meaning is “Receive those whose consciences hurt them when they do things others have no doubts about.” Accepting them might cause discord in the church, but Paul says to welcome them anyway.

The Book of Acts seems to indicate that when Israel was at their most faithful courses in time, a glorious presence had shown over them, drawing the world to ADONAI, GOD of the Jews.

Acts 13:47
(CWSB)
47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

Deuteronomy 4:34-37 (CJB)

34 Yet that is what the Lord your God did for you in Egypt, right before your very eyes. 35  He did these things so you would realize that Yahweh is God, and that there is no one else like him. 36  He let you hear his voice instructing you from heaven, and he let you see his great pillar of fire upon the earth; you even heard his words from the center of the fire.

37 “It was because he loved your ancestors and chose to bless their descendants that he personally brought you out from Egypt with a great display of power.at God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?

Deuteronomy 4:33 (CJB)
33 Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?

Perhaps a brother fell into the entanglement understanding Bible Grace is a free invitation to a Blessed Assurance.

Bible “Grace” does not hide sin, it brings one into the salvation of one’s heart and mind. This doctrinal error is confusing those who come to the Messiah for victory, over slavery to sin.

χάρις cháris; gen. cháritos, fem. noun from chaírō (G5463), to rejoice. Grace, particularly that which causes joy, pleasure, gratification, favor, acceptance, for a kindness granted or desired, a benefit, thanks, gratitude.
(I) Cháris, when received by faith, transforms man and causes him to love and to seek after the righteousness of God. Cháris is initially regeneration, the work of the Holy Spirit in which spiritual life is given to man and by which his nature is brought under the dominion of righteousness.

Romans 2:17-24 (TLB)
17  You Jews think all is well between yourselves and God because he gave his laws to you; you brag that you are his special friends. 18  Yes, you know what he wants; you know right from wrong and favor the right because you have been taught his laws from earliest youth. 19  You are so sure of the way to God that you could point it out to a blind man. You think of yourselves as beacon lights, directing men who are lost in darkness to God.

Lost Souls are searching for a glorious light with power to change lives.

20  You think that you can guide the simple and teach even children the affairs of God, for you really know his laws, which are full of all knowledge and truth.
21  Yes, you teach others—then why don’t you teach yourselves? You tell others not to steal—do you steal? 22  You say it is wrong to commit adultery—do you do it? You say “Don’t pray to idols” and then make money your god instead.
23  You are so proud of knowing God’s laws, but you dishonor him by breaking them. 24  No wonder the Scriptures say that the world speaks evil of God because of you.

The Voice of the ADONAI

Our Heavenly Father performs the miracle of the human heart to understand HIS voice. Others will hear the Word of GOD, or read the Bible to come to faith. However, when Yeshua speaks from the light, or from His Word, we still have to receive it as truth.

(CWSB Dictionary)

VOICE
H6963. קוֹל qôl: A masculine noun meaning a voice, a sound, a noise, a cry. God’s voice in the Garden of Eden (Gen. 3:8, 10); human voices, speech (Gen. 27:22; Josh. 6:10; 2 Kgs. 7:10); singing (Ex. 32:18); laughter (Jer. 30:19); horses hoofs (Jer. 47:3); animal sounds (1 Sam. 15:14; Jer. 8:16). It refers to the content of speech, what is actually conveyed (Gen. 3:17; Ex. 3:18); also the contents of a written message (2 Kgs. 10:6). In a special use, it refers to the sound meaning of a divine sign (Ex. 4:8). The speech and utterances of the Lord as qôl are found often (Gen. 22:18; 26:5; Ex. 5:2; Zech. 6:15). The phrase qôl gāḏôl means a loud (great) voice (Gen. 39:14). The idiom to lift up one’s voice means to cry out, to plead (Gen. 21:16); to raise up one’s voice means to prepare to cry out (Gen. 39:15). The word is used as a personification of a person’s blood crying out (Gen. 4:10).

Paul Heard and Understood Yeshua’s (Jesus’) Voice

Acts 22:6-9
(CWSB)
6 And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey, and drew nigh unto Damascus, about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me. 7 And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? 8 And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest. 9 And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.

Paul heard the voice of GOD, when others couldn’t.

Paul Preaches to King Agrippa

Acts 26:12-20
(CWSB)

12 Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,
13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
19 Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
20 But showed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

Romans 13:11-14
(TLB)

11  Another reason for right living is this: you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for the coming of the Lord is nearer now than when we first believed. 12-13  The night is far gone, the day of his return will soon be here. So quit the evil deeds of darkness and put on the armor of right living, as we who live in the daylight should! Be decent and true in everything you do so that all can approve your behavior. Don’t spend your time in wild parties and getting drunk or in adultery and lust or fighting or jealousy. 14  But ask the Lord Jesus Christ to help you live as you should, and don’t make plans to enjoy evil.

1 Peter 5:14 – 2 Peter 1:9
(TLB)

14 Give each other the handshake of Christian love. Peace be to all of you who are in Christ.
2 Peter
1  From: Simon Peter, a servant and missionary of Jesus Christ.
To: All of you who have our kind of faith. The faith I speak of is the kind that Jesus Christ our God and Savior gives to us. How precious it is, and how just and good he is to give this same faith to each of us.
2  Do you want more and more of God’s kindness and peace? Then learn to know him better and better. 3  For as you know him better, he will give you, through his great power, everything you need for living a truly good life: he even shares his own glory and his own goodness with us! 4  And by that same mighty power he has given us all the other rich and wonderful blessings he promised; for instance, the promise to save us from the lust and rottenness all around us, and to give us his own character.
5  But to obtain these gifts, you need more than faith; you must also work hard to be good, and even that is not enough. For then you must learn to know God better and discover what he wants you to do. 6  Next, learn to put aside your own desires so that you will become patient and godly, gladly letting God have his way with you. 7  This will make possible the next step, which is for you to enjoy other people and to like them, and finally you will grow to love them deeply. 8  The more you go on in this way, the more you will grow strong spiritually and become fruitful and useful to our Lord Jesus Christ. 9  But anyone who fails to go after these additions to faith is blind indeed, or at least very shortsighted and has forgotten that God delivered him from the old life of sin so that now he can live a strong, good life for the Lord
.

2 Peter 1:20 – 2:2
(TLB)

20-21 For no prophecy recorded in Scripture was ever thought up by the prophet himself. It was the Holy Spirit within these godly men who gave them true messages from God.

1   But there were false prophets, too, in those days, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will cleverly tell their lies about God, turning against even their Master who bought them; but theirs will be a swift and terrible end. 2  Many will follow their evil teaching that there is nothing wrong with sexual sin. And because of them Christ and his way will be scoffed at.
