One in six people are aged 10-19 years. Adolescence is a unique and formative time. Physical, emotional and social changes, including exposure to poverty, abuse, or violence, can make adolescents vulnerable to mental health problems. Protecting adolescents from adversity, promoting socio-emotional learning and psychological well-being, and ensuring access to mental health care are critical for their health and well-being during adolescence and adulthood.

Teens are searching for normalcy

A child’s developing mind aspires for instructions from their parents. Their minds are looking for the truth that inspires them to seek out ethical corrections.

Proverbs 1:2-4
(CWSB)
2 To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
3 To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;
4 To give subtlety to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.

On November 17, 2021, the World Health Organization wrote an article that addresses that “Teenagers were experiencing depression, anxiety, and behavioral disorders – even suicide is on the increase.”

Globally, it is estimated that 1 in 7 (14%) 10-19 year-olds experience mental health conditions, yet these remain largely unrecognized and untreated.

Adolescents with mental health conditions are particularly vulnerable to social exclusion, discrimination, stigma (affecting readiness to seek help), educational difficulties, risk-taking behaviors, physical ill-health, and human rights violations. (World Health Organization 17 November 2021)

Stop making excuses and say what the WORD of GOD says. And the power of HIS WORD does the explaining. We just do the Loving and observe the healings.

A child without instruction will self-destruct; there is too much power in the mind of a child that has to be properly channeled.

Proverbs 15:15
(CWSB)
15 All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.

Proverbs 17:22
(CWSB)
22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Proverbs 15:13
(CWSB)
13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

Because of such drastic changes to daily life, the COVID-19 pandemic took a toll on the mental health of millions of Americans. According to an April 2021 Kaiser Family Foundation survey, 1 in 3 adults in the U.S. said worry and stress had a negative impact on their mental health as of March 2020—a ratio that rose to more than half by July 2020.

With good intentions and well-chosen words, many church leaders tell members, “Things will get better.” But teenagers are encountering a world with rising seas, record flooding, record forest fires, and infectious virus attacks as though the earth has been engaged in germ warfare with diseases that seem to have some type of intelligence of their own. Humans are being invaded by microscopic demons employing strategies to destroy life on earth.

The Church

When we run out of words to explain what happens with the planet earth, then let’s use the only Truth that’s deep enough and has been forewarning us all the time: the WORD OF GOD.

It’s really difficult to try to explain Our Heavenly Father as a loving, kind, and merciful GOD in all his ways, all the time. That is simply immaturity in the WORD of GOD!

ADONAI (GOD of the Jewish people) is totally well-rounded with emotions. If the church stops teaching only one side of GOD’S true sentiments, people will do better.

Romans 11:21-22
(Complete Jewish Bible)
21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, he certainly won’t spare you! 22 So take a good look at God’s kindness and his severity: on the one hand, severity toward those who fell off; but, on the other hand, God’s kindness toward you—provided you maintain yourself in that kindness! Otherwise, you too will be cut off!

Maybe this is the problem: that some people get stuck with mercy and grace because they haven’t heard anything more. But the body of believers is afraid to tell people what HE says. Only the devil benefits when we only mention GOD’S love, grace, and mercy.

The truth is adolescents look to their parents for soundness and normalcy. And the family unit is the essential foundation where the GOD of the Bible shines like a bright light through the darkness. By contrast, the devil wants to destroy the meaning of a God-fearing father, who leads his home in devotion to ADONAI (GOD of Israel). A man of GOD who teaches the Bible’s definition of the role of male and female to his children. A man of GOD who makes disciples of his family member. While the unchurched are perplexed at global catastrophes all happening at the same time, the church should be fully aware of end-time prophecies.

The Book of Revelation speaks of world events, such as storms of Biblical proportions at different places.

These Scriptures tell us that the God of Israel will announce His second coming in weather disaster as a warning. Unfortunately, some teachers of the Bible say that we can speak to the weather and make it obey, as in Romans 4:17, “calling things that be not as though they were.”

This is a dangerous missed translation and a major error, misunderstanding that ADONAI is the One who calls things into existence, not Abraham. Abraham believes in GOD, and Abraham trusts GOD at HIS word.

The narrative is that ADONAI is testing Abraham concerning his faith and whether he trusts and believes GOD is able to bring a nation of worshipers out of an old man and his elderly wife.

Romans 4:16-18
(New Living Translation)
16 So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. And we are all certain to receive it, whether or not we live according to the law of Moses, if we have faith like Abraham’s. For Abraham is the father of all who believe. 17 That is what the Scriptures mean when God told him, “I have made you the father of many nations.” This happened because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing.
18 Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!”

Romans 4:17
(The Living Bible)
17  That is what the Scriptures mean when they say that God made Abraham the father of many nations. God will accept all people in every nation who trust God as Abraham did. And this promise is from God himself, who makes the dead live again and speaks of future events with as much certainty as though they were already past.

Romans 4:17
(Complete Jewish Bible)
7 This accords with the Tanakh, where it says, “I have appointed you to be a father to many nations.” Avraham is our father in God’s sight because he trusted God as the one who gives life to the dead and calls nonexistent things into existence.
