The Passover 2

Isaiah 52:13
(Complete Word Study Bible)

The greatest image in Egypt is not the Pyramids nor is it the Red Sea, it’s the concept of ADONAI’S Suffering Servant.

The Suffering Servant

Even earlier than the Exodus, Unleavened Bread was used for preparing a quick meal, as with Lot the nephew of Abraham in Sodom.

Genesis 19:1-3
(Complete Jewish Bible 2016)
(iii) 1  The two angels came to S’dom that evening, when Lot was sitting at the gate of S’dom. Lot saw them, got up to greet them and prostrated himself on the ground. 2  He said, “Here now, my lords, please come over to your servant’s house. Spend the night, wash your feet, get up early, and go on your way.” “No,” they answered, “we’ll stay in the square.” 3  But he kept pressing them; so they went home with him; and he made them a meal, baking matzah (unleavened bread) for their supper, which they ate.

I become familiar with preparing unleavened bread for a quick meal while I was the guest of Bishop Zarved Albert’s ministering in Pakistan. Everyday we enjoyed Matzah as a part of breakfast.

My question is, “How can such a meek image of an item of food, advance into the symbol of the King of all Kings, with a name above all names?”

The ancient pattern of Matzah seems to follow the path that indicates the “human soul” is the place where thoughts grow into something that honors ADONAI or clashes with the Almighty. There are many types of foods that satisfy hunger, but few food items are made for communing, companionship, or nurturing relations.

Genesis 19:3
(AMP)
3 [Lot] entreated and urged them greatly until they yielded and [with him] entered his house. And he made them a dinner [with drinking] and had unleavened bread which he baked, and they ate.

H4682. מַצָּה maṣṣāh: A feminine noun meaning unleavened bread or cakes. This food was a staple in Israelite diets and could be prepared in a hurry for a meal (Gen. 19:3, 1 Sam. 28:24). One of the three Israelite national feasts was the Feast of Unleavened Bread where the people ate flatbread for seven days to commemorate their deliverance from Egypt (Ex. 23:15). Unleavened bread or cakes could also be anointed with oil and presented to the priests as a sacrifice (Ex. 29:2).

Satan offers mankind self-satisfaction, but the Almighty teaches us how to serve one another. As ridiculous as it sounds, the image of Matzah teaches us how to forsake our own way and become part of finding flour with the anointing pressed together.

Isaiah 55:6-9
(CWSB)
6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

The greatest human tragedy is trying to organize God into a religion of normal human social science. The inception of arrogance to think ADONAI, GOD of Israel, can be acquired by study, or just preaching, is a flawed conception. The truth is, the GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob reveals Himself, that we may enter into an intimate relationship that will cost one the surrendering of control, power, and the steering mechanism in our lives.

“Arm” H2220. זְרוֹעַ zerôa‘, זְרֹעַ zerōa‘: Its most significant theological use is to depict the Lord’s arm, His strength and power as His instruments of deliverance or even judgment; an arm stretched out (Ex. 15:16; Deut. 4:34; 5:15; 26:8; Ps. 136:12; Jer. 21:5; Ezek. 20:33, 34). As a good shepherd, His strong arm cares for His sheep (Isa. 40:11). The arm became a symbol of might and power of human (1 Sam. 2:31) or divine strength (Ps. 71:18). It stands for the military forces of the king of the South in Daniel 11:15 and of the king of the North (Dan. 11:31). It clearly refers to the shoulder of a sacrificial ram as well (Num . 6:19).

ADONAI seeks the teachable and pours into those who have emptied themselves.

ADONAI’S servant (Yeshua) did not look the part, neither was He accepted as one who would never obtain entrance into the circles of the elite, He was despised and rejected.

Satanic warfare against Christ began with whispering, rumors, and gossip. Demon spirits are powerless without the aid of human counterparts.

John 12:39-48
(NLT)
9 But the people couldn’t believe, for as Isaiah also said,
40 “The Lord has blinded their eyes
and hardened their hearts—
so that their eyes cannot see,
and their hearts cannot understand,
and they cannot turn to me
and have me heal them.”

Isaiah 53:1-3
(NLT)
1 Who has believed our message?
To whom has the LORD revealed his powerful arm?
2 My servant grew up in the LORD’s presence like a tender green shoot,
like a root in dry ground.
There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance,
nothing to attract us to him.
3 He was despised and rejected—
a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief.
We turned our backs on him and looked the other way.
He was despised, and we did not care.

Once we discern the injustice of Christ, the Messiah, and then realize His life is made a sin offering, in other words, when Yeshua receives restoration, restitution, and retribution for all the things done to Him, His Law suit of restoring or the condition of being restored carries over to those who trust ADONAI for His sin offering.

10 But it was the LORD’s good plan to crush him
and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin,
he will have many descendants.
He will enjoy a long life,
and the LORD’s good plan will prosper in his hands.

11 When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish,
he will be satisfied.
And because of his experience,
my righteous servant will make it possible
for many to be counted righteous,
for he will bear all their sins.

HE CHOSE THE NAILS

12 I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier,
because he exposed himself to death.
He was counted among the rebels.
He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.

Isaiah 53:4-12
(NLT)
4 Yet it was our weaknesses he carried;
it was our sorrows that weighed him down.
And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God,
a punishment for his own sins!

Not for me, but for you!

5 But he was pierced for our rebellion,
crushed for our sins.
He was beaten so we could be whole.
He was whipped so we could be healed.
6 All of us, like sheep, have strayed away.
We have left God’s paths to follow our own.
Yet the LORD laid on him
the sins of us all.

7 He was oppressed and treated harshly,
yet he never said a word.
He was led like a lamb to the slaughter.
And as a sheep is silent before the shearers,
he did not open his mouth.
8 Unjustly condemned,
he was led away.
No one cared that he died without descendants,
that his life was cut short in midstream.
But he was struck down
for the rebellion of my people.
9 He had done no wrong
and had never deceived anyone.
But he was buried like a criminal;
he was put in a rich man’s grave.

41 Isaiah was referring to Jesus when he said this, because he saw the future and spoke of the Messiah’s glory. 42 Many people did believe in him, however, including some of the Jewish leaders. But they wouldn’t admit it for fear that the Pharisees would expel them from the synagogue. 43 For they loved human praise more than the praise of God.
44 Jesus shouted to the crowds, “If you trust me, you are trusting not only me, but also God who sent me. 45 For when you see me, you are seeing the one who sent me. 46 I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark. 47 I will not judge those who hear me but don’t obey me, for I have come to save the world and not to judge it. 48 But all who reject me and my message will be judged on the day of judgment by the truth I have spoken.
