As mentioned in our last blog, Rosh Hashanah is the Head of the year in the Jewish Calendar. It is the anniversary of Adam and Eve’s creation and a day of judgment and coronation of G‑d as king. During the Ten Days of Awe, pastors teach their congregations what it means to revere ADONAI and reverently worship Him.

TEN DAYS OF AWE

Great is the L-rd and greatly to be praised!

Rosh Hashanah is the birthday of the universe, the day G‑d created Adam and Eve, and it’s celebrated as the Head of the Jewish year. It begins at sundown on the eve of Tishrei 1 (Sept. 18, 2020) and ends after nightfall on Tishrei 2 (Sept. 20, 2020).

The “Ten Days of Repentance” or “The Days of Awe” include Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and the days in between, during which time Jews should meditate on the subject of the holidays and ask for forgiveness from anyone they have wronged.

The ten days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are therefore accorded special sanctity and are called Aseret Yemei Teshuvah – the “Ten Days of Repentance.” These are days that call for sincere personal repentance (i.e., תְּשׁוּבָה, “turning to God”) so that the divine decree will be given for our good…. As Abraham Heschel wrote, “No word is God’s final word.

The patterns found in the Ten Days of Repentance are essential to both the messianic Jews and the Church of Yeshua (Jesus of Nazareth). The “Ten Days of Awe” should be recognized as the Judgement of ADONAI is approaching, and every soul must overcome their struggles with the deceitful nature of sin, trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth’s ability to keep them who trust in HIM.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15 (NLT) 13 These people are false apostles. They are deceitful workers who disguise themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 So it is no wonder that his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. In the end they will get the punishment their wicked deeds deserve.

Ephesians 4:17-24 (NLT)

Living as Children of Light

17 With the Lord’s authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused. 18 Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against him. 19 They have no sense of shame. They live for lustful pleasure and eagerly practice every kind of impurity. 20 But that isn’t what you learned about Christ. 21 Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him,

Matthew 13:22 (CWSB)

22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

22 throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. 23 Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.

Yes, You Can!

The Father can’t see your sin anymore because Someone keeps praying and crying with a loud voice of intercession Who keeps getting ADONAI’S intention.

Hebrews 3:13 (CWSB) But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called “Today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin,

Mark 4:19 (CWSB) Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy. 19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness [ἀπάτη] of sin.

Biblical Dictionary Definition 539. ἀπάτη apátē; gen. apátēs, fem. noun. Deceit, delusion. In the past. sense spoken of anything which is deceptive, seducing (Matt. 13:22; Mark 4:19; Col. 2:8; 2 Thess. 2:10). In Heb. 3:13 connected with sin, meaning the deceitfulness of our sinful propensities. In 2 Pet. 2:13, the word “sin” is to be understood as following the dat. _pl. apátais, deceivings, i.e., the deceptive involvements of sin. In Eph. 4:22, epithumías (G1939), desires of deceit, means deceitful propensities which seduce to sin and lead to disappointment.

I am amazed at the Lord’s workings arranging the Book of Revelations just after the Book Jude. Jude is one of the smallest books in the Bible but corrects so much doctrinal error.

The Whore in scripture is the Queen of Babylon who is the goddess of false doctrine.

In the writing of the Book of Jude, is the warning of demon spirits seducing the pulpits, to teach error in the Believing Comunity of Yeshua our Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior.

Satan’s onslaught against the Holiness the ADONAI’S “GRACE and MERCY.”

Jude 1:3-4 (NLT)

In the Last Days, the devil’s network of ministers, called into Satan’s service, will preach the different mixing elements of truth, such as love, compassion, and acceptance of offensive sexual behavior, all in the sight of GOD. At this current time, politicians are lowering sexual consent to the age of fifteen in some states. At the end of this approaching darkness preaching against the Anti Christ, the son of anarch, will add up a death sentence.

Jude 1:3-4

(The Living Bible)

3 Dearly loved friends, I had been planning to write you some thoughts about the salvation God has given us, but now I find I must write of something else instead, urging you to stoutly defend the truth that God gave once for all to his people to keep without change through the years.

4 I say this because some godless teachers have wormed their way in among you, saying that after we become Christians we can do just as we like without fear of God’s punishment. The fate of such people was written long ago, for they have turned against our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Jude 1:5-7

(The Living Bible)

5 My answer to them is: Remember this fact—which you know already—that the Lord saved a whole nation of people out of the land of Egypt and then killed every one of them who did not trust and obey him. 6 And I remind you of those angels who were once pure and holy but turned to a life of sin. Now God has them chained up in prisons of darkness, waiting for the judgment day. 7 And don’t forget the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns, all full of lust of every kind, including lust of men for other men. Those cities were destroyed by fire and continue to be a warning to us that there is a hell in which sinners are punished.

Once saved, always saved

Jude 1:9-10 (The Living Bible)

10 But these men mock and curse at anything they do not understand, and like animals, they do whatever they feel like, thereby ruining their souls.

The Book of Jude may require corrections about habitual Sins and denying The Messiah’s ability to keep the righteous from falling.

Jude 1:24-25 (AMP)

24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling or falling into sin, and to present you unblemished [blameless and faultless] in the presence of His glory with triumphant joy and unspeakable delight,

25 to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and power, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

The last correction from the Book of Jude is the misunderstanding when we reference Romans 8:38.

Romans 8:38 (The Living Bible)

38 For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can’t, and life can’t. The angels won’t, and all the powers of hell itself cannot keep God’s love away. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow,

While Romans 8:38 is true, the sum of its explanation gets muddled in its historical passage from Pslams 44. The Psalm is a prayer of Israel asking Yahweh to awake from your sleep and deliver us. Israel thinks because they were in perfect obedience to God’s word, they should not suffer. Nevertheless, they felt because we have been good, we should not go through any suffering. And because they were descendants of the Patriarchs, they reserve the rights and special privileges and special favor. Here Paul brings out the reality of just because you are loved; you still serve a sovereign God. And trials and testing don’t mean that ADONAI doesn’t love you. The danger remains, thinking that our Lord and Savior is indebted to us, and we should always come out of each test victorious.

Nothing can separate us from the love of GOD, except when we stray away from Yeshua’s teaching on our own. Our God will never leave us, but when we ignore His word, we leave HIM.

Jude 1:20-23 (MSG)

20 But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit,

21 staying right at the center of God’s love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending life, the real life!

22 Go easy on those who hesitate in the faith.

23 Go after those who take the wrong way. Be tender with sinners, but not soft on sin. The sin itself stinks to high heaven.

Jude 1:17-25 (AMP)

Keep Yourselves in the Love of God

17 But as for you, beloved, remember the [prophetic] words spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.

18 They used to say to you, “In the last days there will be scoffers, following after their own ungodly passions.”

19 These are the ones who are [agitators] causing divisions—worldly-minded [secular, unspiritual, carnal, merely sensual—unsaved], devoid of the Spirit.

20 But you, beloved, build yourselves up on [the foundation of] your most holy faith [continually progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], pray in the Holy Spirit,

21 and keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously and looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ [which will bring you] to eternal life.

22 And have mercy on some, who are doubting; 23 save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy but with fear, loathing even the clothing spotted and polluted by their shameless immoral freedom.

24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling or falling into sin, and to present you unblemished [blameless and faultless] in the presence of His glory with triumphant joy and unspeakable delight, 25 to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and power, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

Romans 1:18-20

(New Living Translation)

 God’s Anger at Sin

18 But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness.

19 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them.

20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

Romans 1:24-32

(Complete Word Study Bible)

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but — have pleasure in them that do them.

Amen.

ADONAI; He is still Holy and Sovereign

This brings us to reverence days and why it is necessary to find awe in God. It is impossible to repent when there aren’t any consequences for our sins. Certain spins on words can remove the fear of God from our teaching. When everything about Yeshua is love or blessing, the church will abandon the awe that brings us to true repentance.

Hallowed be Thy Name

Our FATHER, who art in Heaven, “ἁγιάζω”; “hagiázō; be your Name!

The full definition of the English word “Hallowed,” in the Lord’s prayer in Matthew 6:9, is located at the end of this blog. However, a few Saints may not like the Greek definition because it refers to making God’s Name into a state of awe.

The act of reverence and respect placed as to hallowing GOD’s Name means never to refer to HIS NAME as something familiar also refers to the withdrawal from fellowship with the world and selfishness by gaining fellowship with God.

After the process of making this declaration, of Investing with dignity or honor, now you consecrate that name to our heart as something that is in the Earth but never touches the Earth. The place of its existence is in the human heart.

For the same reason in the Jewish synagogue, ADONAI is an audible name for GOD, it is Hebrew and means LORD. However, the Hebrew word HASHEM is not a name, but it points to ADONAI’s exalted, or elevated, names that are too sacred for the novice as HASHEM; which means “HA”= that; “SHEM” = name or THE NAME.

We have a prayer-line where the glory of HASHEM falls sometimes. The purpose of the prayer-line is to make a declaration into His face, that we are creating a place for HIS kingdom in our sphere of influence. We had people who called our prayer-line and the LORD’s presence touched them and left them crying on their floor.

A particular course of action intended to achieve a result

ἁγιάζω; Hallowed

 37. ἁγιάζω hagiázō; fut. hagiásō, from hágios (G0040), holy. To make holy, sanctify.

 (I) To make clean, render pure.

 (A) Particularly in Heb. 9:13.

 (B) Metaphorically, to render clean in a moral sense, to purify, sanctify (Rom. 15:16, “being sanctified by the Holy Ghost,” meaning by the sanctifying influences of the Holy Spirit on the heart. See 1 Cor. 6:11; Eph. 5:26; 1 Thess. 5:23; 1 Tim. 4:5; Heb. 2:11; 10:10, 14, 29; 13:12; Rev. 22:11). Hoi hēgiasménoi, those who are sanctified, is a reference to Christians in general (Acts 20:32; 26:18; 1 Cor. 1:2; Jude 1:1). In 1 Cor. 7:14, the perf. tense hēgíastai, has been sanctified, refers to an unbelieving husband or wife who is sanctified by a believing spouse. The word “sanctification” here should not be construed to mean salvation. The unbelieving partner is set apart on account of the believing partner. The unbeliever comes under a special and direct spiritual influence and benefits from divine favor in the life of the believer. As long as there is contact, there is hope that the unbeliever will turn to faith in Jesus Christ. The point of the passage is that in such a marriage the believer is not defiled by the unbeliever, rather the unbeliever is sanctified by the believer.

(II) To consecrate, devote, set apart from a common to a sacred use since in the Jewish ritual, this was one great object of the purifications.

 (A) Spoken of things (Matt. 23:17; 23:19; 2 Tim. 2:21; Sept.: Lev. 8:10f., 30).

 (B) Spoken of persons, to consecrate as being set apart of God and sent by Him for the performance of His will (John 10:36, “whom the father hath sanctified, and sent into the world”; 17:17, “Sanctify them through [or in the promulgation of] thy truth” [cf. John 17:18, 19]).

(III) To regard and venerate as holy, to hallow (Matt. 6:9; Luke 11:2; 1 Pet. 3:15; Sept.: Is. 8:13; 10:17; 29:23). Thus the verb hagiázō, to sanctify, when its object is something that is filthy or common, can only be accomplished by separation (aphorízō [G0873]) or withdrawal. It also refers to the withdrawal from fellowship with the world and selfishness by gaining fellowship with God.

 Deriv.: hagiasmós (G0038), sanctification.

Ant.: koinóō (G2840), to profane, call common or unclean; miaínō (G3392), to stain, pollute; molúnō (G3435), to besmear, defile; spilóō (G4695), to make a stain or spot, defile; phtheírō (G5351), to corrupt.

Jesus of Nazareth saw that His disciples were ready to know the FATHER on a new, personal level. Our Messiah taught his disciples the awe of the presence of ADONAI ELOHIM. They were also taught to encourage GOD to make HIS habitation a part of their sphere of influence.

Jesus was not teaching His disciples how to pray because Jewish boys learn to pray as a youth. The Disciples of Christ witnessed prayer prayed by John’s pupils, stretching out into dwellings of the highest. John’s students had overheard their teacher, bellowing a cry for GOD in the wilderness, touching the Kingdom of righteousness, that is a real place more real than the earth. John the Baptist’s enthusiasm and personal relationships with the Messiah taught John’s disciples an extraordinary way of approaching and addressing ADONAI.

John’s Disciples learned the awe of GOD. We get these passages from the Book of Exodus, where Israel saw the power of GOD and reverenced the Almighty.

Exodus 14:31

(AMP)

31 When Israel saw the great power which the LORD had used against the Egyptians, they feared the LORD [with reverence and awe-filled respect], and they believed in the LORD, and in His servant Moses.

The Days of Awe are ten days designed from Rosh Hashanah (Head of the Year) and ends with the close of Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), the day of Judgement. So, one might say there has been no day of Judgement. That’s because each year, Israel worships the Lord and GOD’S grace delays Judgement. However, the Book of Revelation points to many prophetic things. There has never been forest fires that burned six million acres of forest since records were kept numbering the financial and forestry destruction.

The Result of the Powerless Church

In recent news, an individual who was comparing religions to which she would dedicate herself stated, “When Justice Ginsburg died, I knew immediately that action was needed on a scale which we have not seen before. Our democracy has become so fragile that the loss of one of the last guardians of common sense and decency in government, less than two months before a pivotal election, has put our civil and reproductive rights in danger like never before. And, so, I have turned to Satanism.”

THE SATANIC TEMPLE

We have publicly confronted hate groups, fought for the abolition of corporal punishment in public schools, applied for equal representation when religious installations are placed on public property, provided religious exemption and legal protection against laws that unscientifically restrict women’s reproductive autonomy, exposed harmful pseudo-scientific practitioners in mental health care, organized clubs alongside other religious after-school clubs in schools besieged by proselytizing organizations, and engaged in other advocacy in accordance with our tenets.

This young lady’s choice was Satanism, where the practice of religion is banned. How can she claim Satanism isn’t a religion, its because Satanism is the religion of nature. The doctrine Satanism is about Mental wellness, physical well-being, brotherly love, preservation of the environment, inner peace, and worship of the forest beings and mystical Heros.

Joshua 24:12-15

(AMP)

14 “Now, therefore, fear the LORD and serve Him in sincerity and in truth; remove the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the [Euphrates] River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD.15 If it is unacceptable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you live; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

Alert Fatigue

Alert fatigue occurs when one is exposed to a large number of frequent and continuous warnings or alerts and consequently becomes desensitized to them. This desensitization can lead to ignoring the alerts and warnings, altogether, of important information that is vital to life and death. It also causes individuals to lose the urgency and attention needed to continue to heed to the warnings.

Officials are expecting a surge in the Coronavirus and they are really concerned because of the upcoming Flu season and holidays. During the holidays, they fear that when people are shopping and getting together with their families to fellowship, they will get Alert Fatigue.  They will get relaxed, let down their guard, stop social distancing and using their masks around their families and friends and spread the virus around.  They may not even be sick but if they have the virus and use the bathroom, when the toilet is flushed, a mist or spray is released into the air carrying the virus. When the next person visits the bathroom, they are exposed to the virus and so on.  The public restroom is said to be one of the most dangerous places to go.

Each year hospitals are filled with patients battling the Flu. Flu season usually starts around the month of October when there is more darkness and less sunlight.  The Coronavirus does not thrive in sunlight because it is affected by the sun’s UV rays.  Officials fear that the Coronavirus may create an emergency situation because there won’t be enough beds and equipment to treat and accommodate both Flu and Coronavirus patients at the same time.  It is recommended that instead of going into the churches, you may want to consider having services in the parking lot where you can stay in your vehicles with your families and have service via phone conference line.  Right now, countries across Europe are seeing a resurgence in Coronavirus cases after successfully slowing outbreaks early in the year.
