SELF-LOVE

Editor: Val Gunter

Continuing from our last blog, “Tell The Truth About Hell,” was met with good reviews. On the other hand, I was left wondering if I had given the blog the wrong name. Comments from the blog were good, but I was trying to write about uncovering Satan’s tactics of disarming the Gospel with the message of “Love.” However, the GOD of our Salvation uses the blog in a more powerful way.

Affirmations of Self-Veneration.

Ezekiel 28:11-19
(NLT)
11 Then this further message came to me from the LORD: 12 “Son of man, sing this funeral song for the king of Tyre. Give him this message from the Sovereign LORD: “You were the model of perfection, full of wisdom and exquisite in beauty.
13 You were in Eden, the garden of God.
Your clothing was adorned with every precious stone— red carnelian, pale-green peridot, white moonstone, blue-green beryl, onyx, green jasper,
blue lapis lazuli, turquoise, and emerald— all beautifully crafted for you
and set in the finest gold. They were given to you on the day you were created.
14 I ordained and anointed you as the mighty angelic guardian. You had access to the holy mountain of God and walked among the stones of fire.
15 “You were blameless in all you did from the day you were created
until the day evil was found in you.
16 Your rich commerce led you to violence, and you sinned. So I banished you in disgrace from the mountain of God. I expelled you, O mighty guardian,
from your place among the stones of fire.
17 Your heart was filled with pride because of all your beauty. Your wisdom was corrupted by your love of splendor. So I threw you to the ground
and exposed you to the curious gaze of kings.
18 You defiled your sanctuaries with your many sins and your dishonest trade.
So I brought fire out from within you, and it consumed you. I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all who were watching.
19 All who knew you are appalled at your fate. You have come to a terrible end,
and you will exist no more.”

People were making statements about “self-love,” then I realized why. The propaganda of self-love is dominating the world. Its powerful message, where nothing you do is wrong when you feel good within yourself. This power is taking root in the home, High schools and colleges.

Everything anyone wants to do is their business, and nobody has the right to condemn your actions.

If the church isn’t ready, the next generation will ask questions we can’t answer. I read this question from a very popular movie star today, who wanted to know, “How can Jesus’ Disciples have English names? They asked the question while laughing and thinking we believers didn’t have an answer. Before the year 1611, the Bible existed as scrolls, written mostly in Hebrew, Aramaic, a sister language to Hebrew, and Chadian, but with Hebrew names of those places, and people, but we don’t argue with the kingdom of darkness, or with Atheists nor Agnostics. However, my point is, what happens when we are challenged by our children or spouses?

What do we do if we are challenged by the President of the United States of America? After the apostles of “Love” left us armed only with the message, “GOD is good, all the time, and He loves us.”

While Jesus preached hard about the message of an eternal Hell, slowly but surely, we went from living our lives to please God to keep us out of Hell; to nobody is going to Hell because of Grace. It seems that we have a better revelation than ADONAI’s Messiah, Yeshua.

The “love yourself” message was seeded throughout the world, in the ’70s , and in the church at the same time.

Last week, we used an example of some of Satan’s approaches where people will attract the Gospel of the Messiah from within church membership.

Jude 1:4-7
(TLB)
4  I say this because some godless teachers have wormed their way in among you, saying that after we become Christians we can do just as we like without fear of God’s punishment. The fate of such people was written long ago, for they have turned against our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
5  My answer to them is: Remember this fact—which you know already—that the Lord saved a whole nation of people out of the land of Egypt and then killed every one of them who did not trust and obey him. 6  And I remind you of those angels who were once pure and holy but turned to a life of sin. Now God has them chained up in prisons of darkness, waiting for the judgment day. 7  And don’t forget the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns, all full of lust of every kind, including lust of men for other men. Those cities were destroyed by fire and continue to be a warning to us that there is a hell in which sinners are punished.

Jude’s Gospel clearly indicates that, in the last days’ demon controlled people will spread the Gospel of loving themselves and not worry about any judgment, because God loves us.

This group of Satan’s servants will start preaching pure fluff instead of hard compelling truth, deceiving misguided babes in the faith.

As the Holy Spirit leads we will correct, when needed, and demonstrate patience with loving kindness, when needed, to win a soul. But love without a holy lifestyle was not preached by the Apostles and never by Yeshua, King of Righteousness.

He died on Calvary’s hill, teaching His Disciples the importance of sharing their power with others, so that they might be delivered from destruction.

Glory to God! Some who understand and love the mission and purpose of Yeshua will come to rescue them from the Kingdom of Darkness.

Preparing For Battle

Jude 1:19-23
(TLB)
19  They stir up arguments; they love the evil things of the world; they do not have the Holy Spirit living in them.
20  But you, dear friends, must build up your lives ever more strongly upon the foundation of our holy faith, learning to pray in the power and strength of the Holy Spirit.
21  Stay always within the boundaries where God’s love can reach and bless you. Wait patiently for the eternal life that our Lord Jesus Christ in his mercy is going to give you. 22  Try to help those who argue against you. Be merciful to those who doubt. 23  Save some by snatching them as from the very flames of hell itself.

A Place With the Hypocrites

SELF-LOVE

Jesus never taught Grace in the way this generation teaches it. Our Messiah knows that He is responsible for deciding who was faithful with their lives in service to GOD, and who wasn’t. For this reason, Yeshua spent a more than appropriate amount of His preaching warning people to avoid Hell’s fate.

What Will Yeshua (Jesus Christ) Judge Us On?

Matthew 10:37-39
(NLT)
37 “If you love your father or mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not worthy of being mine.38 If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine.39 If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.

Romans 12:1
(CWSB)
Exhortation to Practical Living
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Matthew 12:30-37
(TLB)
Anyone Who Isn’t Helping Me is Harming Me.

31-32  “Even blasphemy against me or any other sin can be forgiven—all except one: speaking against the Holy Spirit shall never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come.
33  “A tree is identified by its fruit. A tree from a select variety produces good fruit; poor varieties don’t. 34  You brood of snakes! How could evil men like you speak what is good and right? For a man’s heart determines his speech. 35  A good man’s speech reveals the rich treasures within him. An evil-hearted man is filled with venom, and his speech reveals it. 36  And I tell you this, that you must give account on Judgment Day for every idle word you speak. 37  Your words now reflect your fate then: either you will be justified by them or you will be condemned.”

Matthew 24:48-51
(KJV)

48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
49 And shall begin to smite his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

(IV) Direct denunciation is the only way to counter hypocrisy, a foe of all truth. The hypocrite is in a special sense the child of the father of lies (John 8:44). Hypocrisy not being able to live with truth, can defend itself only through the persecution of others (John 8:37). The reason for the vehement denunciation by Christ of the Pharisees in Matt. 23 was that sitting in Moses’ seat, they showed a spirit in which truth cannot dwell. The Pharisees neither entered the kingdom nor allowed others to enter (Matt. 16:3, 4). Hypocrisy stands in opposition to faith as it works to debase the whole man, just as faith works to regenerate him. It takes away the key of knowledge (Luke 11:52).

Matthew 10:34-39
(CWSB)
Change Brings Conflict (Luke 12:51-53; 14:26,27)

34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
