Here, we are talking about GOD’s persuasive enemy, Satan,( διάβολος) or שָׂטַן śāṭan: Hebrew, known as the Devil. The Devil knows he carries the ability to resemble the true GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, but within his lying tongue, he renovates the scriptures to make the WORD OF GOD more human friendly. שָׂטַן śāṭan is guilty of thousands of years of deceiving ADONAI’S people.

How does the voice of Satan sound? The answer is, quite human; he will not sound spooky, but the Devil will sound more like the Almighty than GOD Himself (humanly speaking).

All we need is a feast and a merry good time so that we will all be happy is what Satan would say. The ancient demi-gods around the feast of SATURNALIA. The demi-god of Saturnalia who caused the worship of Saturn, was known as the “child eater.”

An often-used proselytizing method in the sixteen century is known today as supplanting or replacing the name to make it sound Church-like. After the institution of the organized Church, the goal became quantities and control.

WHAT IS SATURNALIA?

Saturnalia, the most popular holiday on the ancient Roman calendar, derived from older farming-related rituals of midwinter and the winter solstice, especially the practice of offering gifts or sacrifices to the gods during the winter sowing season.

In the book of Mark, Yeshua is teaching His disciples economics in the Kingdom of GOD. Greatness comes by learning to serve GOD, by serving our neighbors. Those who serve their enemies are great in ADONAI’S sight, and those who suffer for Yeshua’s earthy Kingdom are blessed by Yahweh, the  God who gave us Torah. Torah (in Judaism) is the law of God as revealed to Moses and recorded in the first five books of the Hebrew scriptures (the Pentateuch).

Revelation 7:13-17 (AMP)

13 Then, addressing me, one of the elders [of the heavenly Sanhedrin] said, Who are these [people] clothed in the long white robes? And from where have they come?

14 I replied, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they who have come out of the great tribulation (persecution), and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

It seems very interesting that this Angel is bringing attention to God-fearing believers who trusted Yeshua while in an ordeal or some tribulation.

Astonishingly, those who came out of this type of test have some type of special area around the throne room, just for them.

The truth is, when the Lord walks us through a brutal test; fearful people will recognize Yeshua’s fingerprints on the tested person’s life and Jesus Christ, the glory and stronger faith will reside in the onlookers. 

Whoever glorifies the Messiah in a hard test will never experience homelessness again, and every observer will step out on your faith because of the new grace you are carrying, endowed from the Kingdom of Righteousness.

15 For this reason they are [now] before the [very] throne of God and serve Him day and night in His sanctuary (temple); and He Who is sitting upon the throne will protect and spread His tabernacle over and shelter them with His presence.

16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun smite them, nor any scorching heat.

17 For the Lamb Who is in the midst of the throne will be their Shepherd, and He will guide them to the springs of the waters of life; and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.

Some of us will defeat the Devil by overcoming trials and tests, which Yeshua allows. These tests are not designed to break you but to encourage you that our Lord has not stepped away, He is strengthening us unlike others, but God will make you victorious, and your perseverance defeats the Devil.

Trials are not designed to defeat, and looking like a failure doesn’t mean that Yeshua isn’t standing applauding your perseverance in Heaven.

Mark 8:32-35

32 And He said this freely (frankly, plainly, and explicitly, making it unmistakable). And Peter took Him by the hand and led Him aside and then [facing Him] began to rebuke Him.

33 But turning around [His back to Peter] and seeing His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, Get behind Me, Satan! For you do not have a mind intent on promoting what God wills, but what pleases men [you are not on God’s side, but that of men].

34 And Jesus called [to Him] the crowd together with His disciples and said to them, If anyone intends to come after Me, let him deny himself [forget, ignore, disown, and lose sight of himself and his own interests] and take up his cross, and [joining me as a disciple and siding with My party] follow with Me [continually, cleaving steadfastly to Me].

35 For whoever wants to save his [higher, spiritual, eternal] life, will lose it [thelower, natural, temporal life which is lived only on Earth]; and whoever gives up his life [which is lived only on Earth] for My sake and the Gospel’s will save it [hishigher, spiritual lifein the eternal Kingdom of God].

“Queen of Heaven” was a title given to a number of ancient sky goddesses and was depicted as someone beautiful to seduce men into sin. These demons are a foe because they attach themselves to human emotions. Historically, every demon lord’s prime directive is to control the Earth’s territories by contaminating ADONAI’s word with erroneous doctrine. Heaven only aligns itself with authentic faith. Israel was to create a habitation for the Almighty operations, similar to what ADONAI established for Israel in the wilderness. But Israel’s unfaithfulness led to opened channels to the mysterious arts, for the children of GOD, in which gold was collected for the altar of GOD and given to Ba’al’s followers.

We do not fight against people, but we must fight principalities in high places. Satan affects how people perceive you and what is comprehended in one’s heart will defeat the truth that the person you see is still going through ADONAI’S process. 

If Yeshua’s family could have only seen the strength in His suffering. When Yeshua’s arms were nailed wide open, we saw the only one who shouldn’t be there. He allowed the kingdoms of the world to look in and see if there were any selfish motives inside of Him, while Our Savior was tortured by the ones He was dying for.

“I am on full display to tell me what you see,” He could have said.

Diabolos ( διάβολος)

 The noun is used in a general sense to indicate any adversary or someone who hinders or opposes.

 (I) One who falsely accuses and divides people without any reason. He is an accuser, a slanderer (1 Tim. 3:11; 2 Tim. 3:3; Titus 2:3; Sept.: Esth. 7:4; 8:1).

 (II) With the art. ho diábolos, the Devil. Satan is called by that name because originally he accused or slandered God in paradise, being averse to the increase of man’s knowledge and happiness (Gen. 3:5; John 8:44, the children of the Devil).

 H7853. שָׂטַן śāṭan: A verb meaning to accuse, to slander, and to harbor animosity toward. The verb is used only six times and presents a negative attitude or bias against something. The psalmist complained about those who attacked or slandered him when he pursued what was good (Ps. 38:20[21]); even accusing or attacking him in spite of his positive attitude toward them (Ps. 109:4). The psalmist asked for his accusers to be destroyed by shame (Ps. 71:13; 109:20, 29). Satan stood ready to accuse or to persecute Joshua, the high priest, in the postexilic community (Zech. 3:1).  Concordance

 H7854. שָׂטָן śāṭān: A masculine noun meaning an adversary, Satan, an accuser. This noun is used twenty-seven times. In Job it is found fourteen times meaning (the) Satan, the accuser. Satan presented himself among the sons of God and roundly accused Job of not loving or serving God with integrity (Job 1:6, 7; 2:1, 2, 4, 7); all of these uses are in the prologue of the book (Job 1). In Zechariah, this noun is used three times with the verb to accuse (śāṭan [H7853]). Satan stood ready to accuse the high priest Joshua (Zech. 3:1, 2). In 1 Chronicles 21:1, Satan was depicted as the one who motivated David insolently to take a census of Israel’s army (cf. 2 Sam . 24:1).

Theories of happiness in Psychology

Measuring happiness is hard. First, is happiness objective or subjective? Is it about how you feel right now, or in general? Is it rational, or emotional?

Psychologists are still debating these questions. To highlight how important this field of research is, there is even a dedicated Journal of Happiness Studies.

But there are three main theories towards which many researchers are gravitating:

1. The Freedom of Choice Theory:  according to research by Ronald Inglehart, a professor and scientist, the extent to which a society allows free choice has a major impact on people’s happiness. When their basic needs are met, their degree of happiness depends on how much free choice people have in how they live their lives.
2. The Self-Determination Theory:  science has found that the ability to make choices without external influence and interference is also an important factor to live a happy life. Intrinsic motivation and the willingness to grow—basically being self-motivated—can determine how happy you are.
3. The Positive Psychology Theory:  finally, and this is my favorite one, positive psychology considers that instead of trying to fix things when they get broken, we should spend more time improving our mental wellbeing in a more positive and proactive way. This theory is backed by solid research showing the beneficial impact of self-help interventions. I’ll talk a bit more about it later in this article.

31 And they answered, Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ [give yourself up to Him, take yourself out of your own keeping and entrust yourself into His keeping] and you will be saved, [and this applies both to] you and your household as well.

32 And they declared the Word of the Lord [the doctrine concerning the attainment through Christ of eternal salvation in the Kingdom of God] to him and to all who were in his house.

My wife Pauline and I preached in Sicily and witnessed the foraminal of getting one family saved, and the next night the whole family starts attending services.

Acts 16:31

 31 Trust in the Lord Yeshua (see 11:20-23), and you will be saved.

There are five conditions for the salvation of individuals stated in the New Testament:

 (1) Believing that Yeshua is Lord and trusting in him (here, Ro 10:9).

 (2) Acknowledging him publicly (Ro 10:9, Lk 12:8).

 (3) Turning from sin to God (Mk 1:15, Ac 2:38).

 (4) Being immersed (Ac 2:38, Mk 16:16). See v. 33 &N.

 (5) “Holiness, without which no one will see the Lord” (MJ 12:14). A person who meets the first four conditions but leads an ungodly life gives public evidence that he is not saved.

Consequently, The power of seduction, employed by the Queen of Heaven, causes one to hear another voice, other than the Holy Spirit, when reading Romans 10:9. The following are verses from the Jewish Bible.

Romans 10:8

 8b-10 The thing Israel is to “do” is the word, which is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. That word is not about following rules legalistically but is the word about trust that we emissaries of the Messiah proclaim. What is this “trust”? According to Sha’ul’s analysis it consists of two components, trusting (in a narrower sense of the term) and acknowledging publicly; and for these activities one employs, respectively, the heart and the mouth. Only on the basis of such trust can our efforts to obey God’s directives (1:5) lead to being made righteous (1:16-17) and to deliverance (or “salvation”) from the death penalty which sinners (that is, all people, 3:23) have earned (6:23).

 In fact, v. 9 plus the last two verses cited constitute the whole Gospel in brief, so far as the individual is concerned. As a sinner, you not only fall short of earning God’s praise (3:23) but have earned death as your wages (6:23a). Nevertheless, God’s free gift to you is eternal life through Yeshua the Messiah, our Lord (6:23b). If you put your trust in him inwardly (heart) and outwardly (mouth), you will be delivered from death to life (v. 9).

 The Greek word for “to acknowledge publicly” is “omologein,” usually translated “to confess” but meaning, literally, “to say the same thing”-in this case, to agree with what God has revealed in his word about himself and his Son. The public, open aspect of this agreeing is essential; this can be seen from the contexts elsewhere in the New Testament where the word “omologein” is used-Mt 10:32; Lk 12:8; Yn 1:20, 9:22, 12:42; 1 Ti 6:13; 1 Yn 4:2-3, 15; 2 Yn 7.

 An important consequence, especially for Jewish people, is that there are no “secret believers.” The term refers to persons who believe that Yeshua is the Messiah but do not tell their family and friends and have little fellowship with other believers. True, trusting in Yeshua is often a process and not an instantaneous event, and during this period a person may not yet be “ready to give a reasoned answer to anyone who asks you to explain the hope you have in you, with humility and fear” (1 Ke 3:15-16 &N). If the person is in touch with other believers and being taught properly, this period should rarely be longer than a few days or weeks. In unusual cases it could last a few months, but it should never take years. Without exception, those who fail to acknowledge their faith publicly are aborted in their spiritual growth; in the end Yeshua will not acknowledge them before his Father in Heaven (Lk 12:8).

 Trusting God means trusting that He will provide the spiritual resources needed to deal with trials of your faith (Mt 10:19-20). God normally uses more experienced believers to channel these resources to you-the religion of the Bible is not found alone in the lotus position. If you do not consider yourself “ready to give a reasoned answer,” you should seek out other believers to help you.

COVID-19 UPDATE:

Covid-19 has killed over 250,000 people in the US. That’s 10 times the deaths from car crashes in a year.

In less than 10 months, Covid-19 has killed more people than strokes, suicides and car crashes typically do in a full year — combined.

Health experts say if Americans don’t get more serious about wearing masks and avoiding careless socializing, the rate of deaths will keep soaring this fall and winter.

Here’s a look at how deadly Covid-19 is, compared with several other causes of death in the US.

Car crashes and Covid-19

Coronavirus has killed 250,000 people in the US in less than 10 months, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

On average, 24,166 people die each year in car crashes, according to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. (The number includes drivers or passengers killed in car crashes, not others such as bicyclists or pedestrians who were killed as the result of car crashes.)

That means at least 10 times more people have died from Covid-19 so far this year than car crashes typically do over an entire year.

Flu and Covid-19

An average of 42,200 people died from the flu each year from 2014 through 2018, according to data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

So in less than 10 months, Covid-19 deaths have reached more than five times the average number of annual flu deaths.

The new coronavirus isn’t just deadlier than the flu — it’s also much more contagious than the flu.

Suicides and Covid-19

The number of Covid-19 deaths is now five times higher than deaths by suicide each year.

On average, 45,439 people died by suicide from 2014 through 2018, according to CDC data.

Researchers from New York University are concerned the number of suicides will be higher in 2020 due to pandemic stress.

Heart Disease and Covid-19

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the US. An average of 670,595 people died from heart disease each year, according to CDC data.

While Covid-19 isn’t expected to surpass heart disease in the number of deaths over an entire year, the daily death toll from Covid-19 could soon outpace the daily death rate from heart disease, said Dr. Peter Hotez, Dean of Tropical Medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine. He cited the University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, which has projected Covid-19 will kill 2,500 people in the US a day in January. “What that means, practically speaking, is that Covid-19 could be the single leading cause of death in the United States on a daily basis,” Hotez said.

According to the American Heart Association, an average of 2,353 people died each day from cardiovascular disease (including heart disease), based on 2017 data and on Tuesday, the US reported 1,707 new Covid-19 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Jonathan Reiner, a professor at George Washington University School of Medicine, said the current daily death count “reflects the number of people who were being infected three weeks ago — two to three weeks ago, because that’s the lag” between infections and deaths.

“On average, two to three weeks ago, we were seeing 70,000 to 80,000 (new) cases per day,” Reiner said, but Tuesday’s new case count was much higher: 161,934, according to Johns Hopkins.  Two to three weeks from now, we’re going to see 3,000 deaths a day.”

Cancer and Covid-19

Cancer is the second-leading cause of death in the US, and that’s not expected to change this year.  An average of 612,725 people die of cancer in the US each year, according to CDC data.

Strokes and Covid-19

An average of 141,952 people in the US die from strokes each year, according to CDC data.  In less than 10 months, Covid-19 has killed about 1.8 times as many people than strokes typically do in 12 months.
