Many ministers today are being accused of preaching panic, by saying that the return of the Lord is near. There is one thought one must keep in mind, that is, when the Messiah returns, nobody will have time to get prepared. While prophecy in the Bible unveils itself before humanity, the real purpose is so that the born again, and the non-believer will see the omnipotent power of GOD ALMIGHTY coming to pass as scripture says.

May the Lord Direct Your Hearts

People who do not believe the preacher will tremble at the spectacle of the WORD OF GOD coming to completion with nature, science, and human institutions.  Many will come to have faith in the Lord’s Messiah because of what they have heard or read about these events. Observing prophetic events is not a cheat sheet pertaining to the future plan of GOD, but Bible prophecy points the world to the true Messiah, because of the unique manner and specific promise surrounding His return.  There will be talk about His appearance but will the people’s hearts be in the right place?

1 Thessalonians 5:1-3

​¹ BUT AS to the suitable times and the precise seasons and dates, brethren, you have no necessity for anything being written to you.
² For you yourselves know perfectly well that the day of the [return of the] Lord will come [as unexpectedly and suddenly] as a thief in the night.
³ When people are saying, All is well and secure, and, There is peace and safety, then in a moment unforeseen destruction (ruin and death) will come upon them as suddenly as labor pains come upon a woman with child; and they shall by no means escape, for there will be no escape.

It’s a day where the righteous will celebrate, but for those who have fallen asleep, the same will be a day of shock and ambush.

When a person’s darkness is unbelief, we are to demonstrate the love and kindness of Christ that draws men to follow the model of a loving Savior.

On the other hand, demonic creators take advantage of the undisciplined.

1 Thessalonians 5:4-7

⁴ But you are not in [given up to the power of] darkness, brethren, for that day to overtake you by surprise like a thief.
⁵ For you are all sons of light and sons of the day; we do not belong either to the night or to darkness.
⁶ Accordingly then, let us not sleep, as the rest do, but let us keep wide awake (alert, watchful, cautious, and on our guard) and let us be sober (calm, collected, and circumspect).
⁷ For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who are drunk, get drunk at night.

Someone may ask the question “When has falling asleep become some resistance against GOD?” For instance, when the worship culture is fully established, it will represent those who are worshipping and taking their responsibility to the face of ADONAI, welcoming His entrance, and warning the world of His coming. The worshiping groups will offer an invitation to Him who comes in the name of the Lord and revive a sleeping world.

The sleep in the 1 Thessalonians 5:7 is not human rest, but a type of declining to be a light that draws men to Yeshua, our Messiah. Some may even forget that we are on a rescue mission for the lost souls and broken spirits.

Revelation 2:20-21

²⁰ But I have this against you: that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess [claiming to be inspired], and who is teaching and leading astray my servants and beguiling them into practicing sexual vices and eating food sacrificed to idols.
²¹ I gave her time to repent, but she has no desire to repent of her immorality [symbolic of idolatry] and refuses to do so.

Unfortunately, while some are trying to time the Lord’s return, the  second coming, judgment will already have taken place, as far as the Rapture. ADONAI will send Angels before the Rapture, to mark GOD’S chosen people on their foreheads. After that, the Angel will collect ADONAI’S Saints to be with HIM forward.

Revelation 2:23

²³ And I will strike her children (her proper followers) dead [thoroughly exterminating them]. And all the assemblies (churches) shall recognize and understand that I am He Who searches minds and hearts [the innermost thoughts, purposes]; and I will give to each one of you [the reward or punishment] for what you have done] as your work deserves.

Revelation 2:24-26

²⁴ But to the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who have not explored and known the depths of Satan, as they say—I tell you that I do not lay upon you any other [fresh] burden:
²⁵ Only hold fast to what you have until I come.
²⁶ And he who overcomes (is victorious) and who obeys My commands to the [very] end [doing the works that please Me], I will give him authority and power over the nations;

One thing for sure, the Church is keeping its eyes on the Holy Bible.  We are confident of one thing, that when Jesus Christ appears, no one will have a clue.

1 Thessalonians 3:13

¹³ So that He may strengthen and confirm and establish your hearts faultlessly pure and unblameable in holiness in the sight of our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) with all His saints (the holy and glorified people of God)! Amen, (so be it)!

2 Thessalonians 3:5

⁵ May the Lord direct your hearts into [realizing and showing] the love of God and into the steadfastness and patience of Christ and in waiting for His return.

2 Thessalonians 2:3

³ Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition).

The falling away will not keep people from leaving the church buildings, but the central message of the Bible, repentance, and the reverence of ADONAI, our Heavenly Father.  I know most people will say the most central message is love and grace, and that is where we got off track with the Humanized version of the Human Doctrine.
