GRACE; PREDESTINATION OR ELECTION

For as much as the World is waiting for tomorrow’s weather report, the faithful body of the Jewish Messiah, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, is comparing prophetic text from within the Bible for signs of the time. The contrary facing rational assumption circling the popular cliche, God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good is a true statement in its self. However, Yeshua brings distinction to the adjective “good,” the Greek “ἀγαθός” agathós; as to reserving and ascribing such honor to ADONAI, alone.

Again, Yeshua remains in His earthly role as the servant King with a servant’s heart and knows the Catastrophic results in losing the value placed on sacred words. The potential tragedy here is if we abuse the application of the unique expression, human short-sightedness will conclude that God’s Divinity equates to human goodness.

And because of the Greek word “agathós,” it includes synonyms such as benevolent, profitable, and useful are in its definitions. Furthermore, the passage could read like this, and a successful businessman wanted Yeshua to confirm his entrance into the Kingdom of God, based on his long list lifetime accomplishments. At this the man said, My good man, what else must I do to have eternal life? Jesus of Nazareth could have said, “only God is good, your good success over the years has given you false security. Come with me, so I can teach you what it is like to have to depend on God and not your accomplishments.

Psalms 37:5-6 (CWSB)
5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

Hebrews 11:1-2 (AMPC)

1 NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].
2 For by [faith—trust and holy fervor born of faith] the men of old had divine testimony borne to them and obtained a good report.

The Greek word for “good” is agathós.

 18. ἀγαθός agathós; fem. agathḗ, neut. agathón, adj. Good and benevolent, profitable, useful.

 (I) Good, excellent, distinguished, best, of persons (Matt. 19:16, 17; Mark 10:17, 18; Luke 18:18, 19; Sept.: 1 Sam. 9:2); of things (Luke 10:42; John 1:46; 2 Thess

Even though ADONAI is good, in cases of spiritual warfare our LORD reserves actions to bring forth a just end, in HIS Divine purpose. Humankind must be fully open to the works of ADONAI.

Proverbs 16:3-4 (AMPC)
3 Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.
4 The Lord has made everything [to accommodate itself and contribute] to its own end and His own purpose—even the wicked [are fitted for their role] for the day of calamity and evil.

(Easton’s Bible Dictionary)
Why such a man was chosen to be an apostle we know not, but it is written that “Jesus knew from the beginning who should betray him” (John 6:64). Nor can any answer be satisfactorily given to the question as to the motives that led Judas to betray his Master. “Of the motives that have been assigned we need not care to fix on anyone as that which simply led him on. Crime is, for the most part, the result of a hundred motives rushing with bewildering fury through the mind of the criminal.”

Exodus 33:19 (AMPC)
19 And God said, I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim My name, THE LORD, before you; for I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy and loving-kindness on whom I will show mercy and loving-kindness.

Understanding why Judas was open to Satanic influence is important because Judas was stealing money from the Lord’s offering and bad-mouthing moves of GOD.

John 12:4-6 (AMPC)
4 But Judas Iscariot, the one of His disciples who was about to betray Him, said,
5 Why was this perfume not sold for 300 denarii [a year’s wages for an ordinary workman] and that [money] given to the poor (the destitute)?

6 Now he did not say this because he cared for the poor but because he was a thief; and having the bag (the money box, the purse of the Twelve), he took for himself what was put into it [pilfering the collections].

(Easton Bible Dictionary)
In the sense of speaking evil of God this word is found in Ps 74:18; Isa 52:5 Rom 2:24; Rev 13:1 6; Rev 13:1 11, 21. It denotes also any kind of calumny, or evil-speaking, or abuse (1Kings 21:10; Acts 13:45; 18:6 etc.). Our Lord was accused of blasphemy when he claimed to be the Son of God (Matt 26:65; comp. Matt 9:3 Mark 2:7. They who deny his Messiahship blaspheme Jesus (Luke 22:65; John 10:36).
Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost (Matt 12:31, 32; Mark 3:28, 29; Luke 12:10) is regarded by some as a continued and obstinate rejection of the gospel, and hence is an unpardonable sin, simply because as long as a sinner remains in unbelief he voluntarily excludes himself from pardon.

Gossip

This remains today the reason why people who bad-mouth Churches or people in the Church are unhappy and don’t realize the demonic spirits they are entertaining.

Grace

So, the types of grace are grace by predestination, grace by-election, and grace by accepting our Heavenly Father’s invitation.

Throughout the Old Testament, men and women were called by ADONAI through predestination or election.

We are so wonderfully blessed when ADONAI looks upon us with grace and favor, as in the ancient of days, however, the Adversary wants the body of Yeshua to believe that the subject of grace is for the New Testament, exclusively.

חֵן Hebrew for means unmerited favor

H2580. חֵן ḥēn: A masculine noun meaning favor, grace, acceptance. At Genesis 6:8 stands as the fundamental application of this word, meaning an unmerited favor or regard in God’s sight.

Exodus 9:15-18 (NLT)

15 By now I could have lifted my hand and struck you and your people with a plague to wipe you off the face of the earth. 16 But I have spared you for a purpose—to show you my power and to spread my fame throughout the earth. 17 But you still Lord it over my people and refuse to let them go. 18 So tomorrow at this time I will send a hailstorm more devastating than any in all the history of Egypt.

Grace by-Predestination,  by-Election, or Acceptance are the same.

Just as Judas’ destination was sealed, because of a dark heart, people who allow the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit to change their hearts, ADONAI, God of Israel always respond to good, or Godly behavior.

(Easton Bible Dictionary)

The Scripture speaks (1) of the election of individuals to office or to honor and privilege, e.g., Abraham, Jacob, Saul, David, Solomon, were all chosen by God for the positions they held; so also were the apostles. (2) There is also an election of nations to special privileges, e.g., the Hebrews (Deut 7:6 Rom 9:4. (3) But in addition there is an election of individuals to eternal life (2 Thess 2:13; Eph 1:4 1 Pet 1:2 John 13:18).

The ground of this election to salvation is the good pleasure of God (Eph 1:5 11; Matt 11:25, 26; John 15:16, 19). God claims the right so to do (Rom 9:16, 21).

It is not conditioned on faith or repentance but is of sovereign grace (Rom 11:4 6; Eph 1:3 6). All that pertains to salvation, the means (Eph 2:8 2 Thess 2:13) as well as the end, are of God (Acts 5:31; 2 Tim 2:25; 1 Cor 1:30; Eph 2:5 10).

Faith, repentance and all other graces are the exercises of a regenerated soul; and regeneration is God’s work, a “new creature.”

Men are elected “to salvation,” “to the adoption of sons,” “to be holy and without blame before him in love” (2 Thess 2:13; Gal 4:4 5; Eph 1:4. The ultimate end of election is the praise of God’s grace (Eph 1:6 12).

Predestination

22 And Joab fell to the ground on his face, and bowed himself, and thanked — the king: and Joab said, Today thy servant knoweth that I have found grace in thy sight, my Lord, O King, in that the King hath fulfilled — the request of his servant.

Jeremiah 31:2-5 (CWSB)

2 Thus saith the Lord, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.

How should the Bible student, who speaks only English understand ADONAI’s “work of “Grace?”

Some will answer the invitation of Christ with open arms by way of Calvary, which allows our Heavenly Father to place HIS DNA in us, changing a heart of flesh into a heart entirely dependent on the operation of GOD.

Philippians 1:6-11 (CWSB)

6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

7 Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace…

... 11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

How should today’s Bible students look at 3,000 years old prophecy, as some are saying that the second to the third chapters of the book of Revelations has already come to past with the first-century church?

However, those groups may have found News Headlines describing it interesting to know that the ISIS killing spree on the eastern coast of Turkey occurs in the exact cities of the Seven Churches of the Book of Revelations.

The book of Isaiah, written between 739 and 681 B.C. Purpose of Writing: The Prophet Isaiah, was primarily called to prophesy to the Kingdom of Judah. Judah was going through times of revival and times of rebellion.[1]

The amazing prophecy from the prophet Isaiah, prophesying ADONAI’s ability to birth a nation in one day, and to be brought forth in a moment.

Isaiah 66:8-13 (AMPC)

8 Who has heard of such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? Or shall a nation be brought forth in a moment? For as soon as Zion was in labor, she brought forth her children.

9 Shall I bring to the [moment of] birth and not cause to bring forth? says the Lord. Shall I Who causes to bring forth shut the womb? says your God.

10 Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad for her, all you who love her; rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn over her,

11 That you may nurse and be satisfied from her consoling breasts, that you may drink deeply and be delighted with the abundance and brightness of her glory.

12 For thus says the Lord: Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream; then you will be nursed, you will be carried on her hip and trotted [lovingly bounced up and down] on her [God’s maternal] knees.

13 As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you; you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

This prophetic event took place on May 14, 1948

Never in the history of the World had such a thing happened before—but God keeps His word. As definitely foretold here and in Ezekiel 37:21, 22, Israel became a recognized nation, actually “born in one day.” After being away from their homeland for almost 2,000 years, the Jews were given a national homeland in Palestine by the Balfour Declaration in November 1917. In 1922, the League of Nations gave Great Britain the mandate over Palestine. On May 14, 1948, Great Britain withdrew her mandate, and immediately Israel was declared a sovereign state, and her growth and importance among nations became astonishing.(AMPC)

Galatians 5:16-26 (AMPC)

16 But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God).

17 For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the [Holy] Spirit, and the [desires of the] Spirit are opposed to the flesh (godless human nature); for these are antagonistic to each other [continually withstanding and in conflict with each other], so that you are not free but are prevented from doing what you desire to do.

18 But if you are guided (led) by the [Holy] Spirit, you are not subject to the Law.

19 Now the doings (practices) of the flesh are clear (obvious): they are immorality, impurity, indecency,

20 Idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger (ill temper), selfishness, divisions (dissensions), party spirit (factions, sects with peculiar opinions, heresies),

21 Envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness,

23 Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge].

24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus (the Messiah) have crucified the flesh (the godless human nature) with its passions and appetites and desires.

25 If we live by the [Holy] Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. [If by the Holy Spirit we have our life in God, let us go forward walking in line, our conduct controlled by the Spirit.]

26 Let us not become vainglorious and self-conceited, competitive and challenging and provoking and irritating to one another, envying and being jealous of one another.
