Hebrews 1:14 (NLT Study Bible Text,)
14 Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.

Creating a Place for Refuge

While the God of Israel created the cosmos, it’s Man who creates a place for God to operate in a world of darkness.

Christ is recorded saying in the Book of John 17:16, “They (believers) do not belong to this world any more than I do.” Jesus Christ had satisfied the righteous requirement of the Torah within His lifetime. And now, the Kingdom of darkness iss observing a human being successful in obeying the moral Code of Righteousness completely.

Appalachia! Prayer and Revival Summit July 11-14

I was in Jesse, West Virginia when the heaviest anointing I ever experienced fell in the room. The Spirit of the Living God showed up as intercessors from seven different states joined together in one accord. I spoke on that Thursday evening’s service about creating a place for God. And that is what actually happened on the weekend of July-14. Doug Abner, who was instrumental in a mighty move of God in Manchester, Kentucky, was one of the speakers along with John Burton, a Charisma Magazine contributor, and speaker for Saturday evening and Sunday morning’s service. Burton wrote in Charisma Magazine the following:

“I’m back home in Branson, Missouri after a weekend of indescribable fire. I was somewhere near the middle of nowhere in Jesse, West Virginia, and I’m still trembling in my spirit. The anointing and stirring of the Holy Spirit are still radiating through me. The power of God descended in that remarkable mountain revival town and many are testifying that their entire lives have been transformed. They can never go back to life or church as usual!

I experienced a church that actually had the guts to turn the Sunday service into a prayer meeting. I wrote about this in one of my most popular Charisma articles titled “5 Major Changes Coming to the Church.,” John Burton.

Creating a Place for Refuge

As the Lord’s return is very close, the church is supposed to be ready with filled cups of oil and on fire for His arrival. The last day church should realize their military responsibility of working together as an army of the Lord.

Malachi 4:2-3 (NLT Study Bible)
2 “But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture. 3 On the day when I act, you will tread upon the wicked as if they were dust under your feet,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

Now with the Kingdom of the Messiah established, Jesus, declares in John 17, “Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth.”

Before the body of believers in Jesus Christ, learn to appreciate what the Jewish Messiah did at Calvary, they must know that Yeshua created a place for us to function simultaneously within His Kingdom. He sanctified us with Him in the Kingdom of Light. The world and all of its conformities are the Kingdom of Darkness. Nevertheless, Adonai transcended the Believers (body of Yeshua) into an advantage point of engaging the Kingdom of Darkness from within the Kingdom of His dear Son, Jesus Christ.

Colossians 1:12-13 (CWSB)
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in Light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated (μεθιστάνω methistánō), us into the Kingdom of his dear Son:

Hebrews 2:7-8 (NLT Study Bible Text,)
7 Yet you made them only a little lower than the angels
and crowned them with glory and honor.
8 You gave them authority over all things.”

  1. μεθιστάνω methistánō, μεθίστημι methístēmi; fut. metastḗsō, from metá (G3326), denoting change of place or condition, (1 Cor. 13:2).
  2. To apprehend the notion of creating a place for the Lord, one must understand, that our living for God creates an invisible presence, but in the Kingdom of God, it becomes traces of Light that resists or pushes back the spirit of this world.

John 17:15-20 (NLT Study Bible Text)
15 I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.16 They do not belong to this world any more than I do.17 Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth.18 Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world.19, And I give myself as a holy sacrifice for them so they can be made holy by your truth.
20 “I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message.

So, Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah lays out His military strategy to cleanse the area of Satanic contamination and makes it suitable for a Holy King to take possession.

As the intercessor walks and prays, the Light conditions the atmosphere for Kingdom change. Note that before the prayer warrior’s engagement in spiritual warfare, darkness had subtly invaded that space. When the intercessor begins to pray, his or her surroundings conform into an environment conducive for a habitation of our Lord. The intercessor must know that sins of immorality, degradation, and injustice are all tangible substances in the spirit realm. In the spirit realm, sin negates and denies the entrance of prayer.

Isaiah 59:12-14 (NLT Study Bible Text)
12 For our sins are piled up before God
and testify against us.
Yes, we know what sinners we are.
13 We know we have rebelled and have denied the Lord.
We have turned our backs on our God.
We know how unfair and oppressive we have been,
carefully planning our deceitful lies.
14 Our courts oppose the righteous,
and justice is nowhere to be found.

The Book of Proverbs shows us how tangible these traces of Light are in the spiritual realm. For example, let us look at the virtue and personality of “wisdom.”

Proverbs 8:12-16 (NLT Study Bible Text,)
12 “I, Wisdom, live together with good judgment.
I know where to discover knowledge and discernment.
13 All who fear the Lord will hate evil.
Therefore, I hate pride and arrogance,
corruption and perverse speech.
14 Common sense and success belong to me.
Insight and strength are mine.
15 Because of me, kings reign,
and rulers make just decrees.
16 Rulers lead with my help,
and nobles make righteous judgments.

Isaiah 45:8-9 (NLT Study Bible Text,)
8 “Open up, O heavens,
and pour out your righteousness.
Let the earth open wide
so salvation and righteousness can sprout up together.
I, the Lord, created them.
9 “What sorrow awaits those who argue with their Creator.

God established a permanent covenant with Phinehas and his descendants because he had a great distaste for sin. As a matter of fact, he killed a man and a woman for having sex right before the eyes of Moses, at the entrance of the Tabernacle. I am not agreeing with the killing of a person, but in that culture, there was a deep reverence for God and there were immediate consequences for sin, especially in sacred places.

In today’s cultures, taking someone’s life for immoral behavior is extreme and against the law in most societies. However, at that time of this repulsive act, the Divine presence of אֱלֹהִים’ Elōhiym; (God) of Israel was in the Tabernacle entrance. Satan’s take-over strategy is to drop acts of sin between Israel and the temple’s entrance. Such a military offensive strike will divide Israel from their covenant responsibly of protecting the Holiness of God’s abiding.

Satan’s strategy of creating a place (for himself)

Numbers 25:10-13 (NLT Study Bible Text)
10 Then the Lord said to Moses,11 “Phinehas son of Eleazar and grandson of Aaron the priest has turned my anger away from the Israelites by being as zealous among them as I was. So I stopped destroying all Israel as I had intended to do in my zealous anger. 12 Now tell him that I am making my special covenant of peace with him. 13 In this covenant, I give him and his descendants a permanent right to the priesthood, for in his zeal for me, his God, he purified the people of Israel, making them right with me.”

So, Adonai rewarded Phinehas, son of Eleazar and the grandson of Aaron for saving Israel from eradication, because of his hatred of any resemblance of the devil’s character, and while placing a far greater equivalent of the Holiness of God. Likewise, Phinehas demonstrated to Adonai (God of the Jews) that there is hope in Israel. Some people still recognized that sin gave place to Satan as well as separated the cohabitation between God and man.

Even after the Lord forgave King David for his adulterous and murderous actions, the consequential dynamics of sin fell upon the King’s house. Although David fasted and prayed, sin’s consequences took its course in Davids family. What David really needed was a new heart toward God to walk in a new direction.

Galatians 5:19-23 (AMPC)
19 Now the doings (practices) of the flesh are clear (obvious): they are immorality, impurity, indecency,
20 Idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger (ill temper), selfishness, divisions (dissensions), party spirit (factions, sects with peculiar opinions, heresies),
21 Envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Jude 1:3-4 (AMPC)
3 Beloved, my whole concern was to write to you in regard to our common salvation. [But] I found it necessary and was impelled to write you and urgently appeal to and exhort [you] to contend for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints [the faith which is that sum of Christian belief which was delivered verbally to the holy people of God].
4 For certain men have crept in stealthily [gaining entrance secretly by a side door]. Their doom was predicted long ago, ungodly (impious, profane) persons who pervert the grace (the spiritual blessing and favor) of our God into lawlessness and wantonness and immorality and disown and deny our sole Master and Lord, Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Abraham creates a place for God on Mount Moriah

Who would have believed that Abraham created a path for the Messiah to redeem mankind? His act of obedience appropriated the takeover of Mount Moriah for the Kingdom of Adonai. That single act of subservience was the first step of many miraculous events, that would lead to the Kingdom of the Messianic Lamb of Adonai.

Mount Moriah is where Solomon’s Temple, Hill of the Skull, the burial place Yeshua (Jesus Christ of Nazareth), and the place of the Second Temple, where Jesus Christ tore the Curtains in the Temple and the list goes on.

Genesis 22:1-2 (NLT Study Bible Text)
“Yes,” he replied. “Here I am.”
2 “Take your son, your only son—yes, Isaac, whom you love so much—and go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you.”

Genesis 11:32 (New Living Translation (NLT) Study Bible Notes)
Abram in Canaan (12:1–25:11). Abram probably entered Canaan by following the King’s Highway—an ancient and well-traveled route that ran just east of Canaan. Philistines had already begun settling along the coast (Philistia; see 10:14; 21:32-34; 26:1-18). Some Canaanite settlements (Jericho, Megiddo, Hazazon-tamar=En-gedi) were very old by this time.

Within Canaan, Abram traveled southward along the central ridge of the hill country, building altars at Oak of Moreh (= Shechem, 12:6-7; see 33:18-19), Bethel (12:8; 13:3; see 28:10-22; 35:1-15), Mount Moriah (22:1-19), Oaks of Mamre (= Hebron, 13:18; see 23:2), and Beersheba (21:22-34; see 26:23-25; 46:1-7).

2 Chronicles 6:41 (JFB)
41. arise, O Lord God into thy resting-place–These words are not found in the record of this prayer in the First Book of Kings; but they occur in Ps 132:8, which is generally believed to have been composed by David, or rather by Solomon, in reference to this occasion. “Arise” is a very suitable expression to be used when the ark was to be removed from the tabernacle in Zion to the temple on Mount Moriah.
into thy resting-place–the temple so-called (Isa 66:1), because it was a fixed and permanent mansion (Ps 132:14).

2 Chronicles 6:41 (JFB)
the ark of thy strength--the abode by which Thy glorious presence is symbolized, and whence Thou dost issue Thine authoritative oracles, and manifest Thy power on behalf of Thy people when they desire and need it. It might well be designated the ark of God's strength, because it was through means of it the mighty miracles were wrought and the brilliant victories were won, that distinguish the early annals of the Hebrew nation.

Matthew 27:45-54 (NLT Study Bible Text,)
45 At noon, darkness fell across the whole land until three o’clock. 46 At about three o’clock, Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” which means “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?”
47 Some of the bystanders misunderstood and thought he was calling for the prophet Elijah. 48 One of them ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, holding it up to him on a reed stick so he could drink. 49 But the rest said, “Wait! Let’s see whether Elijah comes to save him.”

50 Then Jesus shouted out again, and he released his spirit. 51 At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook, rocks split apart,52 and tombs opened. The bodies of many godly men and women who had died were raised from the dead. 53 They left the cemetery after Jesus’ resurrection, went into the holy city of Jerusalem, and appeared to many people.
54 The Roman officer and the other soldiers at the crucifixion were terrified by the earthquake and all that had happened. They said, “This man truly was the Son of God!”

Revelation 21:9-11 (NLT Study Bible Text,)
Vision of the New Jerusalem
9 Then one of the seven angels who held the seven bowls containing the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come with me! I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”
10 So he took me in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and he showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God. 11 It shone with the glory of God and sparkled like a precious stone—like jasper as clear as crystal.
