What are the five types of Theology?

Christian Theology emerges from five types of theology: biblical, historical, systematic, apologetic/philosophical, and pastoral theology. Durst of Golden Gate Seminary defines each of these kinds of theology and how they infuse together to make sound Christian theology.

The word “eschatology” literally means “the study of last things.”[1]

The doctrine of eschatology is really two doctrines unified by a chronological theme. Sometimes, when Christians talk about eschatology, they talk about personal eschatology. Personal eschatology is the study of God’s final judgments and the eternal state, Heaven and hell. At other times, Christians use the term eschatology to describe Bible prophecy. Prophetic eschatology is the study of the second coming of Christ and the various events related to His return (the signs of His coming, the Rapture, Great Tribulation, and the kingdom).

A few years back, I noticed passages of Scripture in the Bible relating to the weather playing critical roles within Biblical Prophecy.

Revelation 7:2-3
(AMP)
2 Then I saw another angel coming up from the rising of the sun, holding the seal of the living God; and with a loud voice he called out to the four angels to whom it was granted [to have authority and power] to harm the earth and the sea, 3 saying, “Do not harm the earth nor the sea nor the trees until we seal (mark) the bond-servants of our God on their foreheads.”

The Book of Revelations revealed a classification of Angelic Creatures who manage the weather at Yeshua’s (Jesus Christ of Nazareth) command. When the Bible tells the account of Jesus speaking to the “tempest,” (Matt 8:23 -27), the word for “tempest” is σεισμός seismós; not a small storm but extremely large waves generated by an Earthquake, possibly.

(Easton Bible Dictionary)

tempest, saying to the storm that swept over it, “Peace, be still” (Matt 8:23 -27; Mark 7:31 -35

4578. σεισμός seismós; gen. seismoú, masc. noun. from seíō (G4579), to shake. Earthquake, a shaking.

 (I) Generally, in the sea, meaning a tempest, tornado (Matt. 8:24).

Many of New York City’s coastal residents are plagued by flooding – during storms and on sunny days.

“There are certain times of the year associated with the new and full moons where it brings higher-than-normal high tides. And with that, those tides can bring flooding into communities,” says Helen Cheng, a former coastal resilience extension specialist with New York Sea Grant and with the Science and Resilience Institute.

She says in the Jamaica Bay watershed, flooding can block access to the subway station that people need to get to work from day to day.

“Even services, sometimes – you know, the delivery of mail – can get impacted by water on the streets.”

Cheng says tidal flooding is getting worse as sea levels rise, and it’s important to know how people are affected.

So as part of the Community Flood Watch Project, residents document and report flooding. “There’s a lot of value in on-the-ground information and community data. Because they’re living in these places and experiencing these events 24/7,” she says.

Cheng says the data improves flood warnings and sea-level-rise predictions, and it helps city leaders understand how flooding affects people’s lives.

When Yeshua wants a specific task done, He either speaks to it or commands it to be so, and it will come to pass, or it will be done at His command.

The same is true with human servants; the Lord raises up men and women with a certain grace in their lives, equips them for a specific task, or places particular favor on them, connecting that servant with Angelic activity, causing the charges to come to pass.

Most importantly, our Lord gives to every one the measure of Faith.

Most importantly, our Lord gives to every one the measure of Faith. That is the ability to BELIEVE.

Weather in Today’s News

In the Book of Revelation, the role of Weather or Meteorology will indicate the passing of one era while undergoing the changes signaling

a new order exhibition, unprecedented weather phenomena.

According to the Book of Revelations, Angels will be responsible for causing unprecedented weather events and mandated to suspend all their activity until the Almighty has placed His seal on His servants.

Revelation 7:1-3

(Complete Word Study Bible)

1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

Eschatology is a part of theology concerned with the final days.

Pastors

As Pastors, it is incredibly essential to take ordinary church members and turn them into “Battlefield Ready Spiritual Warriors,” who trust the Messiah as a commandeering chief of a universal Struggle. As Master Sergeants, your job is to convince your soldiers to trust and believe in their training guidebook, The Word Of God. Trust is not a human undertaking; trust is derived from the relationship. As Believers, we are to build ourselves up spiritually, praying in the Holy Spirit, and the HOLY Spirit will produce a righteous heart in you. Not being right, but a moral compass.

Jude 1:20-23

(The Living Bible)

20 But you, dear friends, must build up your lives ever more strongly upon the foundation of our holy Faith, learning to pray in the power and strength of the Holy Spirit.

21 Stay always within the boundaries where God’s love can reach and bless you. Wait patiently for the eternal life that our Lord Jesus Christ in his mercy is going to give you.

Jude 1:21-22

(Amplified Bible)

Jude 1:20-23

21 Guard and keep yourselves in the love of God; expect and patiently wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)—[which will bring you] unto life eternal. 22 And refute [so as to] convict some who dispute with you, and on some have mercy who waver and doubt.

(Complete Jewish Bible 2016)

20 But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith, and pray in union with the Ruach HaKodesh. 21 Thus keep yourselves in God’s love, as you wait for our Lord Yeshua the Messiah to give you the mercy that leads to eternal life. 22 Rebuke some who are disputing; 23 save others, snatching them out of the fire; and to yet others, show mercy, but with fear, hating even the clothes stained by their vices.

Jude 1:20-21

(Message Bible)

20 But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 staying right at the center of God’s love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending life, the real life!

Powerful demonic spirits will go into hyper-drive, causing the church to question the limits of Biblical “Grace” or “Trusting” Yeshua’s ability to keep them during the earth’s darkest hour.

22 Try to help those who argue against you. Be merciful to those who doubt. 23 Save some by snatching them as from the very flames of hell itself. And as for others, help them to find the Lord by being kind to them, but be careful that you yourselves aren’t pulled along into their sins. Hate every trace of their sin while being merciful to them as sinners.

31 Because He has fixed a day when He will judge the world righteously (justly) by a Man Whom He has destined and appointed for that task, and He has made this credible and given conviction and assurance and evidence to everyone by raising Him from the dead.

 (B) In Rom. 14:22, “hast thou faith” means persuasion about what God wants you to do (see Rom. 14:23).

Hebrews 11:1

1 NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [Faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

These definitions were pulled from the Complete Word Study Dictionary. The Scriptures were drawn from the amplified Bible, which derives its meaning from the Hebrew.

The definition of Sovereignty was drawn from the Easton Bible Dictionary.

Sovereignty means you have no say in the matter, but unlike a slave, your special reward in Heaven greatly outweighs your sacrifice while on earth.

(Easton’s Bible Dictionary)

God’s Sovereignty, his absolute right to do all things according to his own good pleasure (Dan 4:25, 35; Rom 9:15 -23; 1 Tim 6:15; Rev 4:11).

There will be a reward ceremony of those brave human soldiers who abandoned the safety of their own lives in service to Yeshua, the Lamb of God.

The Book of Revelation mentioned that the Believers who gave their lives as martyred soldiers are standing in God’s presence.

  1. One who chooses to suffer death rather than renounce religious principles
  2. One who makes great sacrifices or suffers much in order to further a belief, causes, or principle.
  3. One who endures great suffering: a martyr

Revelation 7:13-17

(New Living Translations)

13 Then one of the twenty-four elders asked me, “Who are these who are clothed in white? Where did they come from?” 14 And I said to him, “Sir, you are the one who knows.”  Then he said to me, “These are the ones who died in the great tribulation. They have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb and made them white.

15 “That is why they stand in front of God’s throne and serve him day and night in his Temple.  And he who sits on the throne will give them shelter. 16 They will never again be hungry or thirsty; they will never be scorched by the heat of the sun. 17 For the Lamb on the throne will be their Shepherd. He will lead them to springs of life-giving water.  And God will wipe every tear from their eyes.”

There is a blank in the patriarch Abraham’s history of perhaps twenty-five years. These years of peace and happiness were spent at Beer-sheba. The next time we see him, his Faith is put to a severe test by the command that suddenly came to him to go and offer up Isaac, the heir of all the promises, as a sacrifice on one of the mountains of Moriah. His Faith stood the test (Heb 11:17 -19). He proceeded in a spirit of unhesitating obedience to carry out the command; and when he was about to slay his son, whom he had laid on the altar, his uplifted hand was arrested by the angel of Jehovah, and a ram, which was entangled in a thicket near at hand, was seized and offered in his stead. From this circumstance, that place was called Jehovah-jireh, i.e., “The Lord will provide.” The promises made to Abraham were again confirmed (and this was the last recorded word of God to the patriarch); and he descended the mount with his son, and returned to his home at Beer-sheba (Gen 22:19), where he resided for some years, and then moved northward to Hebron.velation 7:13-17
