Rebellion

This blog  is an update to “Rebellion is as powerful as a demonic spell”

As churches prepare for the great battle between Christianity and the realm of the occult, it is believed that a clear line has been drawn between the two combatants. Until recent years, the line was very distinguishable.  Today however, the line between the two opponents has apparently been erased. It seems that many of our Christian Churches have been infiltrated by people who spend part of their time creating an atmosphere that is equal to the realm of the occult. These individuals are mentioned in the Bible as those who have the ability to open doors to the occult. This is achieved by activities that will come under the judgment of God as foretold in the Book of Revelations.  In addition, lurking in the Body of Christ are those individuals who are stubborn and self-willed.  They do not heed church leadership nor to the Word of God. These individuals’ represent board members who resist spiritual leadership, church members who only attend services on the days that they are “featured” as a part of the church functions.

Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary indicates that rebellion means “opposition to authority.” According to the Oxford, there is back-bench rebellion. The back-bench rebellious group validate their opposition by not participating in church activities and/or not contributing toward the church’s success.

Rebellion is as powerful as a demonic spell

While the Lord Jesus was delivering the children of God from demon spirits, religious leaders questioned his authority. Little did they know Boredthat their meddlesome behavior actually aided and abetted the continued existence of kingdom darkness.  It seemed as if they did not care about Satan’s role in their society. Just idly standing by and allowing Satan to capture the minds of the youth, the un-churched, and those who are ignorant of God’s Word has allowed Satan to have free reign.  In other words, if you are not in opposition of Satan’s kingdom, then you are an enabler of his kingdom.

28 But if I am casting out demons by the Spirit of God, then the Kingdom of God has arrived among you.

29 For who is powerful enough to enter the house of a strong man like Satan and plunder his goods? Only someone even stronger– someone who could tie him up and then plunder his house.

30 “Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me.

NIV  Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,

In this same contextual flow of Matthew 12:14-30, Jesus is telling the religious leaders that they were aiding Satan. Their interference was not helping the Lord get the people free from demonic oppression. Spiritual warfare was not understood in Jesus’ day and also has become a forgotten tool of deliverance today.

Some translations seem to warn us that if you are not involved in deliverance, then perhaps you are not gathering the Body of Christ, but are actually scattering the Body.

CJB  Matthew 12:30 “Those who are not with me are against me, and those who do not gather with me are scattering.

KJV  Matthew 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

MIT  Matthew 12:30 One who is not with me is against me; and he who does not round up (the sheep) with me scatters them.

NAS  Matthew 12:30 “He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters.

NIV  Matthew 12:30 “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.

NLT  Matthew 12:30 “Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me.

RSV  Matthew 12:30 He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters.

Those who do not understand how the spiritual forces capture the minds of our youth may not understand why they eventually rebel against church and against authority figures. However, when we do not apply the entire Word of God in ministering to our youth, we leave too many opportunities for the enemy. Our youth are drawn to real power. Unfortunately, young minds are also drawn to the powerful, flamboyant, and whoever or whatever rules. It is natural for all youth to rebel or reject something that seems weak. Jesus was not weak, even though he came in love and compassion, demons trembled in his presence. The elements, the heavens, and the physical earth were totally obedient to his commands. God wants that same authority here in the earth, but no one wants to do the dirty work of the kingdom. Nobody wants to get their “Sunday best” dirty.  All power is in the name of Jesus and He wants His children delivered. When we do not preach God’s method of setting the captives free, our church members are pulled away by Satan’s many distractions.

Pastors and church leaders especially need to pay close attention to Satan’s new kind of warfare. One of the last plans of Satan is to attack ourParents preventing child from vwatching violent movie church leaders.  He is doing this by attacking their children. Even though we have not always walked perfectly before our children, God is able to give us grace if our hearts are about the children’s continual spiritual development. Unfortunately, there are times when those mistakes have caused children to become disillusioned with church.  Pastors need to repent to their children. One pastor friend told me something that blew me away. While one of his children was the target of a satanic mental episode and taken to the hospital, he could not get admitted.  There were no rooms available throughout an entire state where a child could be admitted into a psychological unit! The reason for this was because every hospital in this state that had teen-age psych units were filled to capacity.  The only hospital available was almost 200 miles away. Children who were coming under satanic attacks in their minds literally had to stay overnight in the emergency rooms, simply because there were no rooms for teen patients suffering with some form of mental illness. This incident took place in the month of October 2013, right around the time of Halloween.

Pastors who are experiencing out-of-control children should not feel alone.   There is a spiritual all-out attack on the children of the church. Never before have we seen this type of relentless attack on the minds of the children. I feel that it is because the eyes of our children are constantly receiving heavy doses of idolatry, paganism and the occult.  Some of it materializes right from the churches. If the interest of the church is not returned to the development of our children, they could be one of the last generations who will respond to the word of God.

5 “Look, I am sending you the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the LORD arrives.

6 His preaching will turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers. Otherwise I will come and strike the land with a curse.”

 (Mal 4:5-1 NLT)

As fathers rebel against the Word of God, doors are opened from the spirit realm against children. The only force that works against the spiritWorshipping male of darkness is the spirit of light. The only thing the spirit of darkness need is for the children of light to misuse the light. The light was never meant to shine on us.  The light was meant to shine in the face of Christ. Religion will not defeat the power of darkness, neither will “having a good time” in church defeat the power of darkness. The only thing that destroys the power of darkness is that one individual who walks in the integrity and dedication of the Lord Jesus Christ. Sometimes, children rebel because they hear or see their parents rebelling against their church leaders. They see their parents in church pretending to be spiritual and God-fearing, only to hear the parent’s gossip and complaining about church when they get home. These children know in their young hearts that their parents are back-bench rebels.

Rebellion is very subtle for the simple reason that the characteristics are instrumental in creating an atmosphere of confusion, misunderstanding, and disharmony.  This is a perfect setting for Satan’s operations of rebellion.

Rebellion is as powerful as a demonic spell that invites Satan in the room without any resistance or hindrance. In other words, when we are rebellious to God’s Will in our lives, we give Satan place in the earth realm just like it would be if we were conjuring spirits.

CJB  1 Samuel 15:23 “For rebellion is like the sin of sorcery, stubbornness like the crime of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of ADONAI, he too has rejected you as king.”

KJG  1 Samuel 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

KJV  1 Samuel 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

NAS  1 Samuel 15:23 “For rebellion is as the sin of divination, And insubordination is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, He has also rejected you from being king.”

NIV  1 Samuel 15:23 For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has rejected you as king.”

NJB  1 Samuel 15:23 Rebellion is a sin of sorcery, presumption a crime of idolatry! ‘Since you have rejected Yahweh’s word, he has rejected you as king.’

NLT  1 Samuel 15:23 Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft, and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols. So because you have rejected the command of the LORD, he has rejected you as king.”

YLT  1 Samuel 15:23 for a sin of divination is rebellion, and iniquity and teraphim is stubbornness; because thou hast rejected the word of Jehovah, He also doth reject thee from being king.’

YLT  Ezekiel 21:21 For stood hath the king of Babylon at the head of the way, At the top of the two ways, to use divination, He hath moved lightly with the arrows, He hath asked at the teraphim, He hath looked on the liver.

NJB  2 Corinthians 6:16 The temple of God cannot compromise with false gods, and that is what we are — the temple of the living God. We have God’s word for it: I shall fix my home among them and live among them; I will be their God and they will be my people. (2Co 6:16 NJB)

CJB  2 Corinthians 6:16 What agreement can there be between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God- as God said, “I will house myself in them,… and I will walk among you. I will be their God, and they will be my people.” (2Co 6:16 CJB)

15 Outside are the homosexuals, those involved with the occult and with drugs, the sexually immoral, murderers, idol-worshippers, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

16 “I, Yeshua, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the Messianic communities. I am the Root and Offspring of David, the bright Morning Star.

17 The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come!’ Let anyone who hears say, ‘Come!’ And let anyone who is thirsty come- let anyone who wishes, take the water of life free of charge.”

18 I warn everyone hearing the words of the prophecy in this book that if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues written in this book.

19 And if anyone takes anything away from the words in the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the Tree of Life and the holy city, as described in this book. (Rev 22:15-19 CJB)

Our children know us better than our pastors. And in that day when we will meet the Lord, and he asks the question:  “How many of you were back-bench rebels?” Most will answer, “Not I Lord.” However, we will be judged by the Scripture in Matthew the 12th chapter that has already warned us; if you did not work for the Lord, you have worked against Him.

NLT  Matthew 12:30 “Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me.

Please tell everybody that our children are under attack.

  1. As a mental health professional its disheartening to see the structure breakdown of the American family. Satan’s job is to create distractions for the Believer. With distractions parents can easily be sucked into the things and cares of this world. Rebellion brews when there is a breakdown in effective communication and boundary inconsistency within the home. Structure is key! Please understand that I am not attacking all parents. You can set clear boundaries, keep communication lines open, and try to live the best Christian lifestyle. But, Distractions, if not addressed, create a portal into darkness. Monitor what your child takes in via television, internet, and friends. If not careful doors for depression, anxiety, or low self-esteem can began to brew. The enemy is subtle and stealth when infultrating the family unit. It saddens me to know that hurting children can not receive treatment and support because of the astounding need for mental health assessment not just in Alabama, but throughout the US.
