Divorce & Christianity 3

When or where has God ever been okay with the ancient custom of divorce called “putting away?”

God is great and all powerful, and He loves to dwell in the midst of His people. The Lord’s eternal purpose is to co-exist within His believers. However, God refuses to share His Holy Presence with the kingdom of darkness, which is what happens when a believer and a non-believer unite in unholy matrimony.

Infernal culinaryDeu 7:3 Don’t intermarry with them don’t give your daughter to his son, and don’t take his daughter for your son.

By means of the wisdom of God, one can see why to fraternize with the enemy spells disaster. When the kings of Israel disobeyed God, by not destroying the groves and high places (idol worship), the reign of those kings soon ended with God’s people going into slavery. It seems, that God’s people tend to always drift into compromise. The Lord knew that Satan’s first strategic plan was simply to just hang out with the people of God. Anytime darkness is allowed to remain in the presence of Light, those of the light have betrayed God once again. It is the purpose of the Kingdom of Light to dispel darkness. However, if you are not aware, insidious and injuriously, darkness will take over the light, little by little. This is why God said to the Corinthian believers to basically, draw a line and do not find themselves in any form of compromise with unbelievers. When Christians become comfortable around darkness, it is an sign that the darkness has altered the believer’s perception.I watch you

Divorce & Christianity 3               2 Corinthians 6:14-18 KJV             14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?   15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

Some in the body of Christ forget that God really wants to be seen shining forth from within the believer’s body.

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Divorce & Christianity 3

Satan finds Christians as easy targets when they begin to find some form of amusement in the presence of darkness. Just like turning on a light in a dark room, light automatically drives darkness out of the room. It is when light refuses to shine, and only then, can darkness exert its influence. This light is of a Holy origin and its purpose is to?????????????????? give light to the blind. How can change take place, if one’s light is dim? Furthermore, if a Christian’s light is faint, the blind will not be able to see the transforming power of God.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.  (2Co 6:14-18 KJV)

2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:  3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.   4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, which they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly. (Deu 7:2-4 KJV)

KJV  Ezra 9:1 Now when these things were done, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands, doing according to their abominations, even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.

2 For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled thHalloween dayemselves with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass.  3 And when I heard this thing, I rent my garment and my mantle, and plucked off the hair of my head and of my beard, and sat down astonied (Ezr 9:1-3 KJV)

3 Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the counsel of my lord, and of those that tremble at the commandment of our God; and let it be done according to the law.   4 Arise; for this matter belongeth unto thee: we also will be with thee: be of good courage, and do it. (Ezr 10:3-4 KJV)
