On the Jewish Sabbath of October 14, 2023, people across the world saw an ominous shadow known as an annular solar eclipse. This type of eclipse is also known as the “Ring of Fire” because the Moon does not fully cover the entire surface of the Sun; this creates a fiery outer ring of light. It was a spectacular astronomical event that drew the attention of Billions.

Christianity vs. Paganism

In the Old Testament, the Pagan Fall Festival was forbidden. ADONAI outlawed religious practices due to their association with demonic spirits and their ability to open portals for these spirits to enter and partner with human souls. When demons are accommodated by a human soul, that Soul creates the most formidable weapons against the Kingdom of God.

Some are asking if the eclipse of Oct 14, 2023, is an event causing the three “woes” from the book of Revelation 8:12-13. Will there be world-class destruction, causing loss of life and devastation to cities and land?

This is when

12 Then the fourth angel sounded: And a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night.
13 And I looked, and I heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, “Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound!”

In ancient Egypt, the sun god was even more crucial to life. The sun god was worshiped under different names in various places, such as Atum, Horus, or Amun, but especially as Re, with whom other solar deities became amalgamated.

The god Re was revered as the creator and sustainer of life, as well as the god of justice and the afterlife for royalty.

Demon Spirits exercised their power over specific Israeli Kings, causing them to hand over their children to these deities to be sacrificed in fire.

2 Kings 16:2-3
(AMP)
2 Ahaz was twenty years old when he began his sixteen-year reign in Jerusalem. He did not do right in the sight of the Lord his God, like David his [forefather].
3 But he walked in the ways of Israel’s kings, yes, and made his son pass through the fire [and offered him as a sacrifice], in accord with the abominable [idolatrous] practices of the [heathen] nations whom the Lord drove out before the Israelites.

During the Winter Solstice, I was interested in the connection between prehistoric Forest Deity worship and modern Wiccan ceremonies practiced during Halloween. Israeli kings were known to sacrifice their children to Ba’al for acceptance and approval from the pagan principality.

To seduce a King was high on Satan’s agenda, but to seduce a priest was a higher goal. Kings made law, but Priests cast visions and became tools for Satan’s propaganda.

After the Tabernacle was built, the Israelites were forbidden from sacrificing at high places (Deuteronomy 12:11-14) 1They were forbidden from co-opting the pagan high places to worship Yahweh because it could easily lead to syncretism 1. Syncretism is the idea that multiple faiths can be worshipped at the same time in the same place. God strictly forbade syncretistic practices, as shown numerous times throughout the Torah (the first five books of the Old Testament) 1.

In essence, one could not be a Jew and practice paganism; the kingdom of GOD doesn’t coexist with the Kingdom of pagan beliefs. The Bible says what the non-Jews sacrificed to devils and not to ADONAI. The purpose of making sacrifices is to pay homage or make tribute to someone or something one honors.

1 Corinthians 10:19-21
(CWSB)
19 What say I then? that the idol is anything, or — that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is anything?

20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table and of the table of devils.

These pagan cults predated the Pyramids in the time of Enoch and Noah. A time when giants and unusual beings walked the earth. Magical incantations were used just in the confrontation between Moses and Pharaoh’s magicians, where Moses’s rod destroyed the serpents of Pharaoh’s magicians. According to the research of National Geographic, witchcraft symbols were seen on the walls of ancient monuments.

The existence of prehistoric civilizations is evident through landmarks such as the Egyptian Monuments, Stonehenge, Maya Structures, and the ancient Indian Temple.

These landmarks predate the Pyramids of Egypt by thousands of years. Even in modern times, scientists are still baffled by the advanced astronomical and engineering knowledge required to create such impressive structures.

It is incredible to think that not only did these civilizations have the engineering knowledge to construct such impressive facilities, but they also had the knowledge to understand the Equinox and the phases of the sun. It is a testament to their intelligence and ingenuity.

It appears as though the task could only have been accomplished by beings from another world or with the aid of ancient magic. This conclusion is based on the observation that while National Geographic was showcasing images of one of the ancient sites, a symbol associated with witchcraft was visible in the background of the structure.

It’s comforting to know that the event that took place on October 14, 2023, only lasted for a maximum of six minutes. In contrast, the event described in Revelation 12-13 lasts for a third of the day. However, the darkening of the sky might be caused by the smoke and explosions of the Israeli war. And its meaning is found in the fact that there is unprecedented suffering and loss of life. In any case, it is crucial to have Jesus guide and protect us through Revelation’s prophetic events. Only the Lord knows what all these events signify, but we can trust that He will grant us peace.

From The Pagan’s Perspective

On the other hand, Pagan communities in the Old Testament follow the movement of the sun across the sky in the belief that the Sun god and Forest deities would endow them with bumper crops. It became difficult for Hebrew farmers to trust in ADONAI when their culture depended on the false worship of the Sun gods to cause their crops to thrive.

Deuteronomy 4:15-20
(NKJV)
Beware of Idolatry
15 “Take careful heed to yourselves, for you saw no form when the LORD spoke to you at Horeb out of the midst of the fire, 16 lest you act corruptly and make for yourselves a carved image in the form of any figure: the likeness of male or female, 17 the likeness of any animal that is on the earth or the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the air, 18 the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground or the likeness of any fish that is in the water beneath the earth. 19 And take heed, lest you lift your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun, the moon, and the stars, all the host of heaven, you feel driven to worship them and serve them, which the LORD your God has given to all the peoples under the whole heaven as a heritage. 20 But the LORD has taken you and brought you out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be His people, an inheritance, as you are this day.

Ishtar

Ishtar

The Mesopotamian goddess of war and fertility, Ishtar is the counterpart of the Sumerian goddess Inanna, and was symbolized by an eight-pointed star. The center of her cult was at Babylon and Nineveh, around 2500 BCE until 200 CE. The best-known myth about her is The Descent of Ishtar to the Underworld, but she also appears in the Etana Epic and the Epic of Gilgamesh. Many historians say that she’s probably the most influential of all ancient Near Eastern goddesses.

Exodus 34:10-17
(NKJV)
it is an awesome thing that I will do with you. 11 Observe what I command you this day. Behold, I am driving out from before you the Amorite and the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite. 12 Take heed to yourself, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you are going, lest it be a snare in your midst. 13 But you shall destroy their altars, break their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images 14 (for you shall worship no other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God), 15 lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they play the harlot with their gods and make sacrifice to their gods, and one of them invites you and you eat of his sacrifice, 16 and you take of his daughters for your sons, and his daughters play the harlot with their gods and make your sons play the harlot with their gods.
17 “You shall make no molded gods for yourselves.

1 Kings 11:31-34
(NKJV)
31 And he said to Jeroboam, “Take for yourself ten pieces, for thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: ‘Behold, I will tear the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon and will give ten tribes to you 32 (but he shall have one tribe for the sake of My servant David, and for the sake of Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel), 33 because they have forsaken Me, and worshiped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the people of Ammon, and have not walked in My ways to do what is right in My eyes and keep My statutes and My judgments, as did his father David. 34 However I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand, because I have made him ruler all the days of his life for the sake of My servant David, whom I chose because he kept My commandments and My statutes.

Pagan Worship of the New Testament

Dianna and Artmestce

Artemis, in Greek religion, is the goddess of wild animals, the hunt, and vegetation and of chastity, and childbirth; she was identified by the Romans with Diana. Artemis was the daughter of Zeus and Leto and the twin sister of Apollo.

Among the rural populace, Artemis was the favorite goddess. Her character and function varied greatly from place to place, but apparently, behind all forms lay the goddess of wild nature, who danced, usually accompanied by nymphs, in mountains, forests, and marshes.

Acts 19:27
(AMP)
27 Now there is danger not merely that this trade of ours may be discredited, but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis may come into disrepute and count for nothing, and that her glorious magnificence may be degraded and fall into contempt—she whom all [the province of] Asia and the wide world worship.

Acts 19:24-27
(NKJV)
24 For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, who made silver shrines of Diana, brought no small profit to the craftsmen. 25 He called them together with the workers of similar occupation, and said: “Men, you know that we have our prosperity by this trade. 26 Moreover you see and hear that not only at Ephesus, but throughout almost all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away many people, saying that they are not gods which are made with hands. 27 So not only is this trade of ours in danger of falling into disrepute, but also the temple of the great goddess Diana may be despised and her magnificence destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worship.”

We will uphold the righteous Kingdom of Yeshua to dispel darkness.
