Sometimes I wonder if any Christians get offended when they read Scriptures, which call “Jesus Christ” the “Human One,” such as the Common English Bible [CEB]?  Has the [CEB] crossed the line of losing their reverence for the name of the Lord? At least, they are capitalizing the term “Human One,” but is this respect enough for the Holy name of the Lord?

When Jesus performs the miracle of healing a paralyzed man, the CEB translation called Jesus, the “Human One.” And it says this of the soon coming Savoir.

^CEB  Matthew 9:6 But so you will know that the Human One has authority on the earth to forgive sins”–he said to the man who was paralyzed–“Get up, take your cot, and go home.” (Mat 9:6 CEB)

I had a conversation with some fellow believers about trying to understand people from other cultures and why phrases in English makes no sense and is hard to understand in another’s culture. The same is true for English speaking cultures, concepts get lost because English did not contain the power to always translate the complete thought. In this case, the translators drew from their individual culture in an attempt to illuminate a meaning of a word.

For instances, while talking with Christians I asked the name of the man who never had a bellybutton? They answered “Adam.” That true, I replied, but their answer did not tell me what Adam’s function was. God could now, live on earth though the man, Adam. ADONAI’s authority and the favor were all over Adam.  English translation only tells us Adam’s name. In the Complete Jewish Bible “Adam” is call “the man” Gen 4:1.

Adam, the man who carried God’s presence, was the highpoint of ADONAI’s creations. The glory of God was to be his covering, yet Adam relaxed his defenses, allowing Satan time to seduce Eve. With a lack of sensitivity, Adam is slow to react to Satan’s presence and Eve’s curiosity.

^CJB  Genesis 4:1 The man had sexual relations with Havah his wife; she conceived, gave birth to Kayin [acquisition] and said, “I have acquired a man from ADONAI.”

Interesting, the complete Jewish Bible is not the only translation, which interrupt the Hebrew word “aw-dawm’” as the “Human or the man.” Then again, the Jewish Publication Society and the MacDonald Idiomatic translation uses awdawm for “the man”.

The problem is the English translation tells us the name of a person “Adam,” maybe it is equally important to know what Adam was.

The Hebrew definition of the word for “blood” in sounds very similar to Adam and pronounced as “dawm,” the last syllable in Adam’s name.

דָּם dam {dawm} Strong’s Concordance 01818 דָּם dam {dawm} Meaning:  1) blood 1a) of wine (fig.)

In concert with the definition of “blood”, the Hebrew word for Adam is Strong’s Concordance 0120 אָדָם ‘Adam {aw-dawm’} ¹ Adam: or, the man.

So, according to those earlier translations, those who call Adam “the man,” were correct.  But, what kind of man was he? Some scholars call Adam “the man who had GOD’s blood within him?” Both Cain and Abel had God’s blood within themselves. Regrettably, Cain’s heart filled with envy, needs a blood transfusion, so to speak. Unfortunately, Cain never repented; he just walks right out of God’s presence. Cain could have received an instant transfusion, on the contrary, because of envy’s ability to blind one’s perception, Cain never recognize Adonai’s eyes, filled with grace and mercy.  Cain could have been restored, but bitterness and resentment affected how his responses to God.  After that, all descendants of Cain will need a second Adam to bring God’s blood to the Earth to redeem mankind.

New Covenant blood

The particular Greek word for blood about the Messiah is αἷμα haima {hah’-ee-mah}

Meaning:  1) blood 1a) of man or animals 1b) refers to the seat of life 1c) of those things that resemble blood, grape juice 2) bloodshed, to be shed by violence, slay, murder

Amazingly, the word “haima” refers to blood, gotten by violence or death.

This bloodshed for a body of believers who lives depends on God’s bloodline for strength, healing and the unification of the blood of Christ.

 1Corinthian  10:15-17 I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.  ¹⁶ The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

¹⁷ For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

 1Corinthian 11:25-27 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

²⁶ For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.

²⁷ Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. (1Co 11:25-27 KJV)

 1Corinthian 15:43-46 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

⁴⁴ It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

⁴⁵ And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

⁴⁶ Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. (1Co 15:43-46 KJV)
